【MINGLE】the last day of july
Save Wonderment!
"The Love Live"
It's the end of the month and the final day of July. And after a month of preparing, it's time for Wonderment Amusement Park's very own talent show! This show has been advertised all month long and described as an attempt to make the amusement park a permanent feature of the city. If the Fallen Stars can generate enough fun and faith, then the park can stay forever! Otherwise, it will vanish into a puff of sparkly magic when the clock strikes midnight.
The park's vanishing is a yearly occurrence and most of the locals expect it to happen regardless. In fact, they are so prepared for it that they have a yearly tradition of their own: A Cinderella inspired event is held on the final day of the amusement park, with the clock's strike at midnight being a magical way to end the event. Even characters who do not feel comfortable performing on stage may be encouraged by locals to participate in this small tradition. It generates fun and faith, so why not?
OOC Note: If the log organically hits 250 comments, then it will be considered a success and the park will be saved! Feel free to mingle & enjoy a break from the craziness!

DURING THE DAY
While the sun is out, stage preparation is in full swing. An outdoor stage has been reserved for the talent show performances, but it requires a bit of attention before the show can go live. It needs to be cleaned, the decorations need refreshing and the spirits need Starling in order to perform their magical duties at night. It's also never too late to sign up for the talent show, with sign-ups lasting right until the last minute.
For those not participating, or who need to shake out their nerves, then the last day of the amusement park is bustling with energy! Spirits are trying to create happiness one last time, which means more extravagant rides and attractions. The food is crazier and more outlandish than ever and magic is used more heavily for special effects.
There are also free costumes being given away, which go over your regular clothes. In the Cinderella spirit of the midnight park closing, these fantastical outfits will vanish right at the strike of midnight. It's common to wear a mask and hide your identity until the stroke of midnight as well. If the park is saved, then these outfits will transform into something even fancier at midnight and become permanent pieces for your wardrobe. If not, then they vanish with the park's magic.
NIGHTFALL AT WONDERMENT
When night falls, the park lights up with more spirit magic than ever. Spirits are doing their best to go out with a bang, which for them includes light shows and huge displays of their playful magic. Silent fireworks colour the sky at the top of every hour and the Cinderella outfits begin to glow with magic. Sweet scents of candy fill the air and even the spirits can be heard laughing happily, which is normally impossible.
A common Cinderella tradition is to exchange glass marbles with your new masked friends. It's supposed to fun to collect many of these magical marbles and then track down their owners later. Characters will be given a bag full of unique glass marbles that reflect their personalities and are encouraged to hand them all out. If you empty your bag before the night ends, then it will fill with Starling at midnight. This Starling can be used to keep the park open, so go out and trade marbles with people!
IN HONOR OF MIRRORME | CW: funeral
Thanks to the efforts of Hanyuu, there is one event outside of the talent show being held in the park. It's a traditional spirit funeral being held in the honor of MirrorMe. Traditionally, the way to honor a deceased spirit is to set up some sort of monument that proves they existed. It can be anything from a statue to printing a novel in their honor. In the case of MirrorMe, the living spirits of the park have communicated that they want MirrorMe's old tent to remain in their park forever.
Fallen Stars are encouraged to help both with the set up and paying respects. The tent will need to be set up manually, its exterior decorated and sewn together by the hands of volunteers. Shards of the broken mirrors are collected and glued into a safe mirror floor, which covers the ground inside of the tent. False walls are raised and, in the place of the cruel mirrors that once tormented Fallen Stars, paintings are being hung. MirrorMe's tent is to become an art gallery, which displays hope for the future in the forms of art. Fallen Stars are welcome to paint their own pieces as contributions or just admire what others have put on display.
Even if the park vanishes at midnight, this lone tent would remain as a reminder of what MirrorMe tried to believe in: A happier ending.
THE TALENT SHOW AT MIDNIGHT
It isn't until around 9pm that the talent show begins and it begins with a flash of light and magic. The stage transforms and a false moon hangs in its background, while spirits create glittering lights all around. A loud announcement is made that encourages everyone to come watch the show. If the crowd gets especially lively, then Starling begins to appear at the base of the stage. Performers and spectators alike can work together to save the park!
The final act is at midnight: All of the park spirits gather together and attempt to sing. Normally this would be impossible, because spirits do not have voices... But with the magic gathered from the day... [RESULTS MAY VARY.]
PERFORMANCE [DO NOT RESPOND]
As a note: all the Vocaloid parts for these songs are going to be mixed in with the instrumental, so they are still in the songs, even if the Vocaloids themselves aren't actually physically there in the performance. Also--I do realize that Mafuyu looks like she doesn't have lights in her eyes for her outfit and her choreography-related stuff linked below. For these particular performances, given that she will be acting up the 'good girl' role, there will be some light in her eyes.
They start off their setlist with Lower.
It is then followed up with an MC section--with proper introductions and small banter before Mafuyu and Kanade exit to allow for the next song: a duet between Mizuki and Ena.
Keitai Renwa (Cellphone Love Story) is the song that follows Lower.
Immediately after, Ena and Mizuki are swapped out for Kanade and Mafuyu, who sing Cutlery. The choreography isn't too over the top and focuses more on the emotional weight of the song.
It is followed with another MC section between the group, where they also announce that they'll be singing one last song.
And that song is a slower one-- Saisei (Reborn) and its choreography pairs well for the kind of song it is, too.
