【JANUARY EVENT WRAP-UP】

[It's been a long time since the Wishmaker and the Facility infiltrated the city. The physical damage has been repaired and the Rumors have been settled as gracefully as possible, but the fact of the matter remains bleak. Their longtime enemy managed to break passed their defenses and could very well do it again.

Late in the month, a text message rings across the Starnet devices;]

Good afternoon, everyone. I hope that you've been resting well.

This upcoming Saturday, I would like to propose that we have a meeting at the Shrine of Love. I'll provide refreshments and plenty of space to socialize. We'll start the meeting proper at 5pm. If you could all RVSP through Starnet, I would greatly appreciate it.

Event Wrap-Up

The Shrine of Love is located on the Top Level, up a long hill and surrounded by pastel walls. Through the welcoming rose garden is a large wooden balcony, which overlooks the city and plays host to numerous tea tables. Today, there are three large buffet-style tables with warm food, drinks, and desserts. The food is a mix of Eastern and Western and is generally easy to share. Arrivals are welcome as early as noon and mealtime will go on until 5pm, when the meeting proper starts.

For characters who are shy or get tired, there are numerous tatami mat rooms to relax in between arrival and the meeting. There is also a large onsen, divided by gender, where the Fallen Stars are welcome to relax. This is about to be a stressful night, so the shrine staff have also prepared rooms for overnight stays. The meeting itself will take place on the balcony.

[Satou will call attention to the start of the meeting by climbing onto the balcony railing, like normal adults do. She calls out quite loudly for everyone to hear:]

I'd like to start the meeting by compiling a summary of who was helping where. We need to understand the scope of the infiltration. If you helped at a shrine or assisted with the safezone or Rumors, please speak up now.

I assisted at yours and fought one of your duplicates. I also stopped in at a safe zone, though I must say there was not much I actually contributed.

Thank you for your help there. I didn’t feel anything strange in the way that I did when they used those windchimes to steal my power, so you must have done a good job eliminating the threat.

Still… Makes my skin crawl to think a duplicate of me might have been hurting the civilians.

What surprises me... no, that aside for a moment. I thought the fakes could only steal the real one's power if they killed them?

I helped at the Shrine of Sin, same as everyone else who works there. I guess there were a bunch of fake Hanyuu running around, since we each had to beat at least one... They were all abused and neglected spirits who made a deal with the Facility since they didn't have a choice.

I see. So that’s how they’re recruiting spirits…

And unfortunately, this is no easy fix for that. My power is also spread pretty thing just maintaining what we have.

Yeah... Which means we should try and keep an eye out for spirits in trouble ourselves. I know we have the wishing board, but there's gotta be more we can do.

I was the one who was helping with healing in the safe zone, although I did have to go to the Shrine of Games for a bit to help with others there. Something that I realized was that we don't seem to have many people with healing abilities, which may be troublesome in the future.

Yes, we definitely need to start working on that right now. Even if a lot of people were to form Healing-type spirit contracts, those take a few months to train.

It may not be optimal, but I can teach basic first aid to everyone. That much would at least help quite a bit.

I ran into the Rumor around the train with Ushio-san when we were heading down to the safe zone.

[She lucked out, since she didn't get hurt, but. Seeing the faces of the dead... mmm. Kanade still hasn't really unpacked all of that, so she's just going to leave it at that.]

Um, outside of that... I helped Inaba-san and the others who took over the radio station by playing music, and I tried to help with my music again when we were all in the safe zone.

My sister said someone was trying to take over our train using a Rumor. She says thanks for coming. You scared someone away or something. [just throwing that out there, like it isn't important. stuffing her face with cookies instead.]

... I hope the two of you are okay now. The Rumor didn't do anything too terrible to your or the train, did it?

I, uh. Helped break into the radio station. Atsushi and Akutagawa were there, too. They've probably got better things to say about it - I was just there to make sure no one died, really.

It was a lot of work... I feel like I'm still tired, somehow.
