Summary:

It's the night of the full moon! To celebrate, Yuuto has invited everyone that he knows to the Shrine of Love for a hotpot party. Everyone has been asked to bring one ingredient to add to the pot, though the shrine itself will be providing a variety of meat, vegetables, noodles, and tofu. The moon viewing will last into the early hours of the morning.

OOC: Though technically the party was arranged by Yuuto, there is a public announcement on the Starnet. Anyone who sees the announcement can consider themselves invited. Please use this log as a mingle!

Harvest moons signal the start of fall, right? And everyone harvests their crops. I should have planted something this year, but I've gotten so hopeless. The fact I've been here for so long still feels like a fairytale...

[Yuuto's voice trails off. Then he recalls that these aren't normal opinions and corrects himself.]

I'm sorry. You probably didn't want to see one moon cycle here, let alone nine. I shouldn't talk like it's fun when people are miserable.

You're right, though, you know. Fate, no matter what world you're in, will deal all manner of harsh things. [She shakes her head.] It's natural. You wanted the stability denied to you. And it isn't as if this world itself is wrong. There are many things, many people making it bearable. Even if it's still a prison, I...

... It must be hard to leave your old friends and family though, right? I can't really understand it, but I wish that I did. I imagine it must be... 'lonely?'

[stavros]

...It is. Even if they could never understand my burden, I... did like having squadmates for a time. Even if I've made friends here. Even if some have even said they care for me, it... I have a job. A duty to live for. So that's part of it, too.

[spacialeyes]

[Yuuto nods, settling his emotions to appear calmer.]

As do I.

But as long as we're here, I think it's fair to reap blessings where we can find them. Our duties shouldn't blind us from the world around us. We may be on a detour, but that can be just as important.

[stavros]

You mean... you think it's a good idea, then. To accept what's here, even if it can't be forever?

Mm! After all... Isn't all happiness temporary? That's what makes it so precious!
