Your local technology expert and owner of the Fallen Stars community center, Canis Major - more information about that can be found here.

Working on the next visual novel in between her work! It's going to be a yuri story called "harmonize" that deals with two polar opposites: a somewhat cold, serious hardworking girl named Miyuki and a sunny, happy go lucky girl named Natsuki. The game would have been announced by now with a teaser image that shows both girls, but there is no set release date yet. The studio behind this has also been officially named as Sunlight Nebula. Inaba is also writing this one on her own this time around.

She will also be working on her birthday at both Canis and her usual job unless someone stops her. (Someone please stop her.)

Otherwise, same as usual.

Kana Arima

Practicing for acting as per usual! Otherwise nothing of note.

Nothing really of note, but she'll be Around

Mafuyu Asahina

She'll be attending school and acting like her "good girl" self at school, but otherwise will drop the act elsewhere.

Still dating Kanade, this won't change.

[Kokoro will come into the building, a gym bag over her shoulder, and nods in greeting.]

Well met. Has there been any news? I must say the quiet and peace since the incidents at the snow castle may be... unnerving.

[dereban]

Unfortunately, it's been pretty quiet. [ She shakes her head with a bit of a sigh. ] Honestly, I think that we probably should consolidate the information that was obtained from the castle, though. Since I didn't really go...

[stavros]

That is true. I haven't heard much from even the others who attended. It felt something like a test of character, if anything. As if the resident spirits were trying to provoke us to see if we had the strength to overcome this time. Then again, that's wild speculation, and they could well have been consumed with fairy tales out of boredom from the isolation.

[dereban]

A test of character, huh...

[ Her eyes narrow slightly. She doesn't know if she's relieved that she didn't go or worried that she didn't go. ]

Guess that's the next thing on the agenda, then.

[stavros]

On that I'll agree. A meeting seems well overdue. Things may be peaceful now, but we all know these lulls never last.

[dereban]

Well, we'll at least probably be safe into the New Year, I'd like to hope. If nothing surprising happens the rest of this month.

I found it odd that Wishmaker didn't seem to have appeared. But then, somehow those fiends at the Facility are fully aware of the time jump and have altered things accordingly more and more as the year has progressed.

[It's her birthdaaayyy! And when Yuuto finds her working, he isn't surprised! Just... Sort of hurt, really.

He waves from a distance, but his smile is not as happy as it could be.]

Hm? What are you doing here, Himeko?

Working. What else does it look like I'm doing?

[spacialeyes]

You're certainly not resting, that is for certain!

I don't need to rest, Yuuto.

[spacialeyes]

But it's your birthday!

So? It's not so important that I have to stop working.

[spacialeyes]

We could be going on a birthday date and you picked work instead..! I-Iii'mmm..! [oh god. is he jealous of capitalism.]

[spacialeyes]

I-Iii'mmm never finishing that sentence..!

Mmmhmmm. You wanted to go on a birthday date that badly?

[spacialeyes]

I wanted to celebrate my partner's birthday... I didn't get to last year, so...

[dereban]

[ She lets out a heavy sigh, debating something... ]

Well, you're going to have to leave a formal request in a form of a letter.

[spacialeyes]

A... letter..? Why?

[is dating him that painful or is this bullying??]

[dereban]

Because I want a letter.

[spacialeyes]

[... Ooooh.]

Does it need business letterhead?

[dereban]

No. [ ... ] And it can be handwritten. But if you don't turn it in today, you won't get that date.

[spacialeyes]

Hmmm. Alright. Is there anything else that I need to include in your love letter?

[dereban]

How about you surprise me?

[spacialeyes]

Okay~!

[His smile becomes more teasing and relaxed as he points out:] You didn't argue about me calling it a 'love letter.'

[dereban]

...I mean. You are writing one, right?

[spacialeyes]

[Yuuto chuckles, amused by her reaction.]

Yes. So don't read it in public, okay, darling? [He points behind her, to whatever she's been working on,] And don't get too comfortable with working! I'll be right back.

[dereban]

I'll wait for you. Don't take too long.

Inaban, also Canis

[Mei's slightly late coming into Canis Major's main building; rare form, especially for someone that tends towards punctuality, but given the day, she had to make sure her ducks were in order, and she'd gotten the right gift. This was one of those cases where not having her friends around was... ah, trouble; thinking like Kiana was one thing, with how much they spent time together. A good game, some warm food, and her -- her most precious person never liked sweating the bigger things, so she didn't need to consider anything that complicated. Thinking like Bronya, on the other hand... she was never a very tech-minded person; while she was smart, make no mistake, it was like jumping from riding a bicycle to controlling a train.

Mei also had to do a number of odd jobs at the lower levels and watch for any big sales -- the nice thing about being able to work through the night was that she got overtime pay for her trouble. Hopefully what she got for Inaba was worth it.

Keeping the rather old fashioned thing she found in its box, which itself hid in her purse, Mei knocks on Inaba's office door.

Birthdays were never a reason to not mind manners.]

It's me -- I'm not interrupting anything important, am I?

Door's open!

[ Thankfully, she's just working on something on her computer, typing away so it isn't as if she isn't so busy that she can't answer when called. ]

And no, don't worry; I'm not all that busy.

[She had to privately admit, she wasn't entirely sure to trust what Inaba said... maybe it was just her, but she seemed to be burning more time on her work recently.

Still, she steps inside, the bag holding her gift safely tucked against her.]

I have to admit, it's strange having this much peace for once...

It is this time of the year, after all.

[ She says dryly as she pauses in her typing momentarily. ] If it's anything like before we probably would be "okay" until the new year.

It does make me wonder if they even know how to celebrate a holiday right. Or if they even recognize holidays...

[What is a holiday but an excuse to prepare the next big horrible experiment to the Facility? It was probably a rhetorical question, but she can't help but put the query forward.

Mei settles on the couch, expression all but asking if she's giving them too much credit.]

Well, Christmas doesn't exactly "exist" in this world. So it's not as if anyone can celebrate a holiday right. Although during the winter this world has some... pretty cursed customs.
