It's been a long month for the Fallen Stars. For those signed with the Rising Star Talent Agency, it has been a month of rehearsals; A grand debut show is set to happen at the end of the month, one which will hopefully create enough love and happiness to save Wonderment Amusement Park from its Cinderella curse. If the two idol groups and theatre troupe can pull off a miracle, then the amusement park won't disappear at midnight and the spirits will retain their playground.

And meanwhile, for the more combat orientated Fallen Stars, it has been a month of climbing stairs and facing their inner darkness. Twenty-three floors and twenty-three boss battles later, the team has finally cleared MirrorMe's entire mirror castle. Well... Except for one last floor. At 11:59 on the 24th of July, the final floor is set to open. What will be at the top, no one is quite sure. But if it's anything like in the last timeline, then MirrorMe themselves is about to make a grand reveal.

But that isn't the only source of stress for the 24th. Because for the idols and theatre troupe, a little wrench has been thrown into the plan... Well. Maybe it's a big wrench, actually.

Entertainment Industry: Theatre Troupe Update

Up until now, the theatre troupe has been rehearsing a fairly straightforward storyline for their play. It is a short origin story to celebrate the Kami of Curiosity, whose power is celebrated in the month of July. It is the story of how the Kami of Light and Kami of Darkness gave their collective power to the Kami of Love, and how the Kami of Curiosity came to help protect the city with her. All told from the perspective of a Heroine, who gets the power to find truth from a Mirror Spirit...

But when rehearsal starts on the morning of the 24th, the agency producer has an announcement. There has been a drastic change in the plot due to the writer being unhappy with how rehearsals are going. Apparently the entire company thinks that the play is missing something and they've decided to instead turn it into a drama. The Kami of Curiosity will now be portrayed as a last minute twist villain, who tries to prevent the Heroine from telling the world about the secrets that she uncovers. They've also thrown in a love story between the Kami of Love and Kami of Curiosity in order to spice things up. Even more stressful: There is a new actress coming to the show playing the role of Kami of Spacetime, but she cannot attend rehearsals. Everyone needs to practice around her and be ready to wing it... Which the professionals may recognize as being unusual for modern theatre.

But despite any protests or concerns, the production has to go on with these changes. The agency staff is just as baffled as the actors and will be trying to negotiate more rehearsal time, but they cannot risk giving up this precious debut stage... They say that the script is under NDA, but they also don't know about Starnet...

Entertainment Arc: Idol Update

Things are far less chaotic for the idols. In idol group A; Ai Hoshino is the center, while Baby Bonnie and Theta will be supporting her. In idol group B; Odette, Rika, Sawyer, and Pidonus will share center stage due to their even group number. Both groups have been given two songs to perform as units and one group number between both units.

Tensions are beginning to get higher. Costume fitting will happen soon and the seven idols are doing some interview events to raise hype for their show. They'll be rehearsing more frequently in the upcoming week, but the staff is already planning to give them a week long vacation after the show. They'll all be allowed to invite a +1 to the cottages during the first week of August.

MirrorMe Event

Lastly. The final floor of MirrorMe's castle.

The staircase leading to the final floor is longer than usual. It is structured in a tight spiral that raises meters high. The floor below gradually falls into shadows and the glassy steps seem to disappear into the darkness. But after two minutes of climbing stairs, the Fallen Stars see a light above them. For those getting powers from the event, this floor seems to call for them. They can feel its pull on their soul and will be more inclined to reach the top.

They exit onto a floor made entirely of mirrors. The reflections under their feet show different versions of themselves; Both parts of themselves that they're proud of or ashamed of, and maybe haven't realized to be true about themselves. MirrorMe themselves stands in the center of the room and their appearance changes for each person looking at them; They always look like a mirror image of whoever is looking at them.

This portion of the event will be a mix of handwaving and chances to converse with MirrorMe. If you want the handwaved portion, please make a MirrorMe toplevel with "HANDWAVE" in the title. You'll get a random piece of information, details about your character's new powerset (if applicable,) and a summary of how the floor ends.

After July 24th, MirrorMe's castle will remain standing until the end of the month. The staircases to the upper levels disappear and it returns to simply being a mirror funhouse.

[ Despite her plans to calm down, to stop heading up the castle... Ryoko wanted to see this to the end. The trek up the stairs was taxing, but she'd climbed up flights of stairs so many times in the past that any exhaustion she might have typically felt was pushed aside.

She could transform and make it up there, no problem.

As such, when she finishes the final long-winding staircase, Ryoko has another glimpse of what makes her her around the room.

A girl angry over Valentines chocolate, happy to see her friend happy, upset at how flippant she was over getting grazed by a car... her first and last time fighting a witch, so many conversations with those who've made her upset... or who she's upset...

And in the center... stands Ryoko Asakura. Or, more importantly... ]

MirrorMe-san?

[MirrorMe- Still disguised as Ryoko,- raises their head to meet her gaze with gold eyes. Their hands clasped in front of their chest, the spirit nods in response. The voice that they use to reply is primarily Ryoko's, with a second voice whispering distantly like an echo.]

Yes. I am called that.

I did not expect to see you again.

[ By the time she's at the top, she's definitely extremely out of breath. ]

I fucking swear, the stairs couldn't have been an escalator--

[ She gripes with a deep frown, yelling in frustration. Her knees feel like they're gonna buckle and she can feel the tightness in her chest and lungs, as if aching to give out, but she tries to keep herself steady and standing, even if she feels like she can almost barely speak. ]

Oi! You're in here, aren't you...!?

[The spirit stands in the center of the room, having taken Inaba's form as their own. They even borrow her voice as they call out in reply, with a second voice seeming to whisper in echo;]

I am.

Welcome, Himeko Inaba, to the top of my castle. I'll admit... I did not think you would come.

[ As someone who was basically a copy of other people- she knew that she had to see MirrorMe for herself. She's lucky in some ways, not having to deal with a floor about her- she doesn't even think twice about the reasoning why; it really isn't important.

But even so, Ushio climbs up the stairs.

No, 'climb' isn't the right word, here, not when her feet have sunken into her own shadow , rushing through the almost endless flights of stairs with no qualms. But when the floor becomes that full of mirrors, Ushio can't help but pause, just for a moment, to look.

She sees Ushio in the reflection--of course. There's the cowardly part of her that's worried in the past about what people might think. She isn't the 'real' Kofune Ushio, after all: just a pale imitation of a girl long gone. But there's also the strong parts of her, too, and she can't help but share the tiniest of smiles as she continues to walk, her shadow cold against the glass of the mirrors before finally reaching the center of the room. ]

Ya don't gotta take on Ushio's appearance too, y'know.

[MirrorMe's eyes flash gold as their gaze meets Ushio's. Smiling sadly, they shake their head.]

I do not have my own form. I can only reflect the expectations of others.

Elliot will learn that MirrorMe took an offer from Wishmaker and the Facility. They wanted to have a past and future, but could not imagine one for themselves. Instead, they tried to borrow one from the Fallen Stars. In doing so, they realized that the Facility was using them to gather information on the Fallen Stars' powers and fears in order to manipulate them later.

To make up for it, MirrorMe will teach Elliot how to use spirit magic. By conquering his inner darkness, Elliot will be able to manifest the things that he feared as tools to protect those that he cares about. He can give his own shadow a physical form to create chains. MirrorMe suggests that he reach out to Mikale to learn more.

the kami of curiosity is now a villian and there's a new spacetime kami character who's actress hasn't shown up but apparently thats not a problem

[Velda isn't my usual combat pick someone who gets in a lot of fights. But she had to face something in herself, and help the others in here, too. So even after her own floor is done, she climbs the tower day after day until she can do something. Anything to help.

Once the light fades and she can't see the floor underneath her anymore, Velda flies up the rest of the stairs on her broom. She shifts awkwardly when she spots the mirrored floor, and her first thought is to be thankful that it's showing illusions rather than looking up her skirt, but she steps off onto the floor and watches the visions as she goes forward, making faces at a few of them.

And then the image at the centre of the room. She looks up at MirrorMe and blinks.]
