【JULY - MIRRORME EVENT】
"MirrorMe's Castle Reflects Your Happiness!"
While MirrorMe's event will have a lot of similarities to last year's MirrorMe event, it won't be a total carbon copy. So please take a moment to review all of the information before signing up!
MirrorMe's Mirror Castle is located in the center of Wonderment Amusement Park and is one of the few attractions that stays the same every day of the month. During the day, the castle has a single floor and is simply a fun mirror maze. Fallen Stars may see a Reflection of themselves, who taunts them and tries to drive them out of the maze; They whisper of their failures, shortcomings, and then tell them to come back at midnight. Those who do arrive at midnight will find a staircase at the end of the mirror maze, which leads to another floor. A warning states: "At the end of 24 hours is the dawn of a new day."
Every floor of MirrorMe's Maze will be a dungeon dedicated to a single Fallen Star. When you sign-up for the event, you will be assigned a number 1-23, which corresponds with which floor number your character is assigned. They will feel compelled to reach their floor, like there is a psychic pull calling them up to the next level. But there's a problem: Only one floor can be cleared each day and floors can only be cleared by defeating their final boss.
This event will rely on a mix of player and mod teamwork. The mods will write up a suggested summary for your floor's layout and boss, based on the information that you provide in the sign-ups. Players are also encouraged to play their floor's final boss or to handwave the final encounter; Mods will not be able to play many floor bosses. Once a character's floor is cleared, it will have a special appearance on every day afterward. Berri will be updating this section of the event with a description of the cleared floors.
It is assumed that one floor will be cleared every day from July 1st to 23rd, so your characters' floor number is also the date it is cleared by. You can future or back date floors as needed. The 24th floor is reserved for a final boss encounter. Any missing floors will be filled by NPCs.
This section of the event has a chance for characters to, once again, develop some kami powers... and this time, depending on how floors are cleared, some of the powers might stick! Powers are more likely to last if the character reaches some sort of breakthrough when clearing their floor. So please keep that in mind when signing up and playing out your floors. does this seem similar to persona? it should. you should think about that.
To sign-up, please go over here.
Inner Darkness: Think of what your character considers 'dark' about themselves, not necessarily what is morally repulsive to other people. Their Inner Darkness is something that they themselves struggle to accept. The final boss of their floor, called a 'Reflection,' will reflect this back to them and try to break the character emotionally. The Reflections also have the same abilities as their original, which comes with an ability to predict their original's moves and gain advantage in battle.
Battles: Battles can be resolved with combat, talking, self-acceptance, or a combination. You're free to end the fight however you want. Mods will not play Reflections for player characters due to how personal they are.
Floor Dungeons: The floor dungeons will reflect the characters' fears, doubts, and past. Mods will write a suggested floor description, but the players are encouraged to modify these to suit the characters better.
If your characters' battle resolves in a way that meets plot requirements for keeping powers, then you will get a mod comment! Powers will be incredibly mild at this moment. It is worth noting, as a hint, that the power will come from within. Your character will need to make an emotional breakthrough with themselves and face their inner darkness in order for the powers to stick!

To be honest, I don't know math either! I never went to school or anything.
But hey! It's probably quick and painless if you get the wrong door anyway?

If you struggle, it's worse. It's best not to think too much about it.
[He shrugs, a serious expression slipping back into unearned confidence, then gestures again towards the doors.]
So? Which will it be? You're not getting any further by standing around.

[ Ushio answers with a pout. ]
But, fine-- I'll pick a door! I ain't scared.
[ And she takes careful steps to whatever door is furthest to the left before deciding to open it. ]

But as the door swings closed, it makes the sound of a gun firing rather than any sound associated with a door. The Reflection steps out from a shadow cast by a wardrobe, clapping sarcastically.]
See? That wasn’t so bad. You survived.
But you should have been scared. If you lose your fear, you’ll start making brave choices. And bravery is the quickest poison for a Facility child.

[ She's died twice.
She's numb to it. The only reason she complained was mostly for levity's sake. ]
There're much more scarier things.

[The Reflected Mikale grips his arm. A tattoo on a serpent-like dragon slithers down, leaving red irritated skin before it turns black. And though he tries to maintain his fearless facade, the smile begins to tremble off of his face.]
Like being hurt. Or not being allowed to leave. Or… losing people that you care about.
But if you act like the threat of death is enough to keep you in line, then they don’t realize there are more important things to threaten. I learned that early on in the experiments.

[ Ushio's quiet; what else is she supposed to say to that, really? She doesn't have the words. ]

I did many terrible things to survive. Sometimes they'd reach a point where they could only keep one of us and we'd do anything to be the one chosen.
This school was just another audition for life that I survived. So it makes no sense that I'm allowed to stay in that city.
