I could get all sorts of flowery with this, I mean I'm a Bard I know a LOT of ways to get fancy about it.

But to cut things a bit... There's two types of romantic love, though they're more often than not intertwined.

The more important of them, is a certain desire to be with someone at a deeper level than what you think of as just friendship. To know you wish to be together with them as long as you can. For some, that takes more domestic forms; for others, it ties into a love of adventure.
