This post will be considered a catch-all log for the month of June for any of Len's characters.

The list currently comprises of Inaba, Mafuyu, Ushio and Kana. Please talk to me before instigating any negative CR with Inaba unless it comes organically--ask if unsure!--given her current headspace.

Himeko Inaba

Your local technology expert and owner of the Fallen Stars community center, Canis Major - more information about that can be found here.

In terms of her work schedule: she is usually seen on the physical premises from 9 AM - 11 AM.

From 11 AM - 9 PM, she can be found spending a lot of time on the first level and this month can especially be found hanging around the former cherry blossom tree site with her new spirit pact, Arisa--a small pink bunny who is actually the former spirit that occupied the tree.

Himeko has a tendency to avoid all of the kami shrines on the top level. During this time, she can also be contacted personally for any proper Canis Major services. From 11 PM - 7 AM on the days not listed below, she will be working for cash on the lower level, working various odd jobs that require the graveyard shift.

From June 1st - June 3rd, she will primarily be spending all of her time in her office due to her internal injuries, which means that yes, she will also be sleeping in Canis Major even when it's meant to be 'closed'.

June 4th she will be completely unavailable outside of any emergency calls.

Given that she is auditioning for the entertainment plot, from June 6th - 8th, she will be doing evening 'performances' after 9 PM. She will also be largely unavailable on June 9th and June 10th.

Ushio Kofune (shadow)

Ushio here is a shadow copy of the real Ushio Kofune, who has both Ushio's memories and feelings up until she died. While she's had different experiences now, she is still very much Ushio. As of this month, Ushio is offering her services as a shadow which include utilizing her speed, defense, duplication and copy abilities as well as her Shadow Scan.

She does a lot of odd jobs for Starling, as she needs it to live. Jobs tend to consist of deliveries and finding lost objects.

Optionally, she can also turn into Inaba as needed, as she also has obtained her memories and feelings.

Kana Arima

Actress who was known for "being able to cry in ten seconds flat" as a child--however, she eventually became "washed up" as she was no longer considered as a genius. Kana herself is absolutely dedicated to acting to the point where she is described as someone who has a strong attachment to 'acting' itself.

Dedicated to her craft, she is willing to do anything if it means that she is allowed to act. To her, acting is living and breathing; it's all she has.

Mostly unavailable during June 9th and June 14th.

Mafuyu Asahina

The lyricist for Nightcord at 25:00 as well as a third year at the local high school. She attends classes by the daily, acting as the 'good girl'--a rather intelligent, studious student. After classes, she attends archery club before heading back home.

Mafuyu herself is basically a 'genius' in her own right, picking up things rather quickly.

She also has a spirit pact with Akiya, a koi fish with a focus on healing, something that suits her, given that she plans on becoming a doctor.

[ After having set a time and date for, well... their actual date- Himeko made sure that preparations were complete. Today, she wasn't going to think about all the things that were hurting her!

For the twelve hours that she'd spend with Yuuto today, she'd become Cinderella.

Once the clock struck midnight, all the 'magic' of deceit would soon vanish and she'd be back in the position that she first started: alone, where she would stew in her own, miserable thoughts of self loathing.

But for now, she could shake all of that off. Given that this date was meant to celebrate their one year anniversary of knowing each other, she knew that she couldn't go with her usual wear. So she wears a dress, the brooch he gave her as a hairpin and is carrying a somewhat large handbag to carry what she needed- her wallet, phone, and swimsuit.

Of course, she'll be waiting patiently at Canis Major, in her office doing some last minute things before sending a private message via texting: ]

Let me know when you're ready; I'll be heading down now, so meet me by the Canis Major entrance!

[Yuuto has never celebrated any sort of anniversary before. Even his birthdays are somewhat hollow, as they have never represented his completion of any world's rotation.

So today is incredibly special to him. He's even got Chron's help to pick out some casual clothes, rather than wearing one of his formal transformation outfits. By the time that he's leaving the house, Yuuto has been fussed over by everyone in his family at least once. He looks down at his phone to text a response;]

60 seconds!

[And with that, he teleports into the lobby of Canis Major. Where he's immediately reminded that Inaba is a very pretty girl.]

Au- Hime- Inaba! Did I make you wait long?

You didn't, don't worry about it. Did you want to go somewhere to eat first? It's almost lunch, after all. Then we can go to the arcade after.

[ She already has a good idea on how to spend the day with him. Anything is a good distraction, honestly. ]

june 15th, semi-open;

[ It's been a long month.

And what a month indeed. And right at the middle of the month, the stress finally, finally- catches up to her.

Which is why someone might find her collapsed right near the entrance of Canis Major, where someone might notice a bunny spirit panicking over her, as if trying to wake her up. At some point, a message is sent over Starnet, utilizing Himeko's account: ]

[ OOC: For the sake of continuity: I'd like only one character to actually see Himeko collapsed; other characters that show up afterwards will be able to find her at her office. Feel free to also respond to the network part of this as well; replies will be brief. ]

[It was supposed to be routine.

Drop by Canis Major, continue holding her lessons, work with everyone, especially Inaba, to give back, even if the community they've been thrust into doesn't really have the most complete image of them... Mei at least had something close to peace, at the time.

That unfortunately ended as she walked up to the entrance.]

...

[...for a moment, she sees her in Inaba's position, collapsed, unconscious. Unmoving. What Yuuto had told her about only made it worse.

For all she knew, Inaba was dying.

Her instincts kick into high gear and she rushes over, checks for the younger girl's pulse.]

[ Thankfully, Mei isn't alone, as the small rabbit spirit seems to nudge at Himeko a little worriedly, unable to voice her full concerns.

But the good news is that she seems to have a pulse, so there's something going there! ]

[ Hopefully, any cameras or security detail doesn't have speakers involved. Ryuunosuke's there later, having made her way from where she was staying, ready for a fight. After all, that was the only thing that could've made her send out the SOS.

So when she gets in, she's immediately making a scene. When someone calmly points out that Inaba's been brought back to her office, she bows and then runs again to the elevator. She doesn't make much noise, before stepping forward and knocking on the door. ]

Oi... anyone home?

[ Cautious. Just in case. ]

The door's open!

[ Himeko yells out, although there's noticeably something weaker about her voice, full of exhaustion. ]

[Kokoro saw the message while out patrolling the streets, so it takes a bit for her to show up. She hesitates outside the door of Inaba's office.]

What happened in here?

[ Well, doors don't answer, but Kokoro will at least notice that nothing seems to be visibly amiss. ]

[Elliot hadn't seen the SOS when it went out. He hadn't even looked at Starnet for the past several hours. At first he was alarmed, but when there were no other posts about emergencies or attacks, it (barely) helped reassure him that the worst hadn't happened.

Still, something was wrong with Inaba and he has to see it for himself. After picking up some food on his way there, he stops at her office door.]

Inaba, I'm coming in.

[Yuuto is going to hate himself for weeks to come. Of course he'd been in the middle of a chain of deliveries when that text went up. He missed her call for help. He's supposed to be her partner and he promised to always be there, but he's screwed up so badly.

anxiety kami immediately goes from 0 to 100 in terms of panic. He teleports to Canis Major far too late, while simultaneously dialing Himeko's number.]

Himeko... Please pick up. Please be okay..!

kana's event shenanigans; potential oshi no ko manga spoilers

[ Kana was feeling... well, mixed about passing her audition.

She remembers seeing Ai sign her contract on the very first day, the spirits panicking and freaking out, but she'd paid no mind to the warning signs. After all, this was a way into the industry proper. Although she can't say it's a guaranteed shot at success; that's something that she's going to have to actually properly work on.

But this isn't about that.

This is about people finding her and wanting to know more about her, curious and excited. They're basically treating her like a celebrity and while she's certainly done interviews in the past... this? It's different. ]

"Hey, there she is!"

"You're Arima Kana, right?"

"I saw those clips! Can you sing for us?"

I'm not a singer anymore, I'm an actress--

[ She's rather insistent on this point. ]

"Aww, but that Bell Pepper song was so cute..."

Don't bring up my dark past!

[ Her eyes search around trying to find an out. Someone send help?? ]

[ Kana, hilariously enough, is an avid reader. So while she doesn't know about what happened in the previous year regarding the The 100 Fallen Stories book, she's managed to get one anyway and so happens to be reading it in public- sometimes she'll be on a park bench, sometimes it'll be in a cafe, and sometimes it'll be in Canis Major.

Perhaps she'll see one of your memories...

Or maybe it'll be one of hers? Choose your poison. ]

[ Hmm. Ai's sure that a girl like Kana is more than used to dealing with the attention that comes with being the new exciting trend... but something about her flustered face makes Ai feel just a little bad for her. Bad enough that she'll go ahead and run a little interference as she comes casually swanning over. ]

Aah, what's this, what's this? Kana-chan's gotten so popular while I wasn't looking!

[ Kana-chan and not Arima-san is deliberate – as is the floaty, cheery voice she says it in. She's still finding her footing here and stitching together the Ai she wants to perform as, but she thinks something cute and friendly, a down-to-earth beauty descended from the heavens, a little distant and strange but warm and bubbly, might just be the thing. ]

Oh, but– you were all chatting away, so I probably shouldn't interrupt!

[ Ryuunosuke had taken up her "training" again. Since her dad wasn't around, most of her attempts at keeping her fighting sharp revolved around borrowing martial arts films and working on her form. Other times, it was just through her going on a light jog.

It's one such moment that she happens to pass by a park bench, and... soon after, jogs right back. ]

What're you readin'?

[ She feels like she's heard that book's title recently, but it wasn't... super in her purview at the moment. Huh. She didn't take Kana for a bookworm. ]

[ For the event, Inaba does spend time at Canis Major, the top level and the lowest level; she does recall the whole thing with the stories, given her photographic memory and how she was one of the people who had dealt with rewriting the stories themselves in the past, but now that she's gotten a copy and reading them...

...these are definitely very different from the ones they had before.

Her expression is even pretty neutral when her gaze falls on some of her stories. But perhaps she might wind up reading one of yours instead? ]

[Yayoi was sitting in Canis Major, reading. She's not much of one for reading, mostly, but... well, her reading level is, subpar. So she has a dictionary app on her phone as she looks through the stories...

And then, suddenly, she's reliving this event. A bizarre event- First she's one person, then another, then she's- Picking fights with a class rep, trying to save someone, what-

Yayoi returns to herself with a start, looking around in a panic.]

Wh- The hell was that?!

[ Ever stubborn, mostly stupid, Ryuu decided to keep heading up to Canis Major. Most of it was to look for someone to spar with for a bit, but every so often, she'd just take some time to check stuff out. Like, these books. They're definitely trouble, there's a ton of invasive stuff in there, but mainly, she wanted to check on whether or not her stuff is still in there.

In this case, as she scans through, she finds some story about a lonely girl, trying to figure out what the hell was happening with her, dealing with not being able to get a girl out of her mind.

That makes sense. She's lonely, after all.

What catches her off guard is the memory itself, where she suddenly... experiences all of that. It was all so damn confusing, and once she's free, she finally speaks outloud. ]

--No, dumbass, you're a girl?

[ This again? ]

[After the sprawling mess of having multiple people come across her most private of memories on the last few days, Mei had made it a point to keep from reading the book in anyone else's presence, much less reading it at all for others' stories, just to be certain she wouldn't dig up anything important. She's been the cause of at least two of her own inadvertent invasions of privacy; there didn't need to be more of them.

But fortune sometimes swings in the worst possible way, at the worst possible time. Between what she saw in the book -- being stuck with a person she'd called a martyr, chiefly, trying to goad said martyr into making a move -- and now this, it's practically a double knot deciding to form itself in her gut, seeing the telltale signs of someone having come across her stories while she was close by. That it was someone she'd just helped and talked things through with only a few days prior after she'd collapsed made it worse.

...the only other question besides obvious concern was, 'which ones she saw'.]

june 17th; meteor shower deito

[ Mafuyu, of course, had heard about the meteor shower that was happening tonight and thought that it would probably be a good way to spend some time together. After all, the future was looking messy, and she at least wanted to feel something... warm, this month.

And more importantly, Kanade had gone through so much recently- it's about time for a reprieve, so she thinks.

Hence why they're going out, in the late hours of the night, to watch the meteor shower from a park nearby. She's gotten a picnic basket and mat and even has her phone to use as a camera.

Now, all they have to do is wait. ]

[It feels kind of nice, going outside at night like this. Though it's more crowded than it usually would be this late, the reprieve from the almost-summer sun is enough to put Kanade at ease. And boy, does she need it - the realization that this is their first real date as a couple has been eating away at Kanade all day.

She knows this doesn't need to be perfect. Honestly, she doesn't want it to be perfect; Mafuyu's had perfection forced on her all her life, and she deserves to be able to enjoy things without that kind of expectation. She just... wants it to be nice, is all. It's why she changed out of her usual sweats and shorts, choosing instead to go out in a nice sweater and slacks.

Maybe even that's a bit too much. But Kanade still wants to put some kind of effort into this.]

... I don't think I've ever seen anything like this before.

[Despite the anxiety, Kanade looks more relaxed than she has in a while. She looks happy, though for the moment, her eyes aren't on the skies. She can only look at Mafuyu right now.]

[ Mafuyu can be found at school during the weekdays, around the toplevel on the weekends and at music stores. She didn't buy the book that the Rumor is centered around, so she might not be able to see other people's memories, but don't let that stop people from seeing hers! ]

june 28th; not so fun chats with aqua ( onk spoilers )
