【JUNE MINGLE】
It's been a day since the Rumor of Oyashiro-sama and resulting goo tree were put to rest. The civilians have been more contemplative than usual as they consider the lesson learned the cherry blossom tree's spirit; More gifts can be seen at the smaller spirit shrines than usual and everyone is working hard to produce starling. Even those on the lowest level have made a small offering pile where the cherry blossom tree once stood. Now it is only a pile of starry sand, which will gradually blow away over the first week of June.
But it's not all gloom! The weather is warming rapidly and the city seems eager to put this incident behind them! Public pools are opening all over the city and the locals are helping Fallen Stars design custom swimsuits to celebrate. As a form of apology mixed with grateful celebration, local bakeries are making star-shaped sweets and the craft stores have been producing star-themed trinkets. They are especially keen about some special windchimes with little star-shaped crystals replacing the bells... weird. there's a wholeass prompt for this one?
Fallen Stars will find that they aren't the only ones being celebrated this month. June is the Month of Love and that means a lot of celebrations in honor of the kami of love. Heart shaped treats and trinkets are mixed among the star theming and a love-based rituals are common place this month. Love of all sorts, romantic and platonic, is being celebrated. Surely there's nothing to be worried about this month. Nothing bad happened in the last timeloop, right?
Starting June 1st, many public pools will be opening around Starsand City. You can find a pool in almost every neighborhood and they all have vastly different themes. Some have artificial sand and waves while others are focused on swimming lanes for competitive swimmers. But the most notable pool opening is the one in the city's center, called the Star Pool.
There will be a series of pool parties at this pool; One big party on the 1st, then another on every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the month. There is free food, mixed drinks, and plenty of poolside activities. The Star Pool has a variety of sections, including poolside bars, hot tubs, water falls, a lazy river, and a cascading pool edge, which looks out at the miles of forest outside the city. At night, the pool lights up with spirit magic. In fact, spirits can be seen swimming through the water at all hours. They often take the forms of glowing fish and enjoy racing with the other swimmers.
Fallen Stars will have no problem finding swimsuits that suit their tastes and can even get help designing something special. Just be sure not to stay in the pool after midnight! You'll be fined a few starling and some community service if you're caught after hours!
The people of Starsand City are incredibly grateful to the Fallen Stars, who they know fought the evil Oyashiro-sama and her corrupt cherry blossom tree. Throughout this month, Fallen Stars can expect to be pampered by the civilians more than usual! Everyone is very apologetic for how they acted last month and curious to learn more about the Fallen Stars. They make star-themed trinkets, sweets, clothes, etc. to celebrate their newfound heroes. If asked, they may even try to replicate something that you're missing from home.
This is also a month to celebrate the kami of love. It's common to visit her shrine and write love-related wishes on papers, then twist the paper around a flower in the public rose garden. There is also an old tradition of couples carving their names on metal locks and attaching them to one of the balcony gates... But curiously, this tradition wasn't celebrated in the past timeline. Oh well. Sounds safe.
There's something quite different about this June. There is an advertising campaign at work... and it might strike some people as familiar. Shops all around Starsand City are giving away glass windchimes with coloured paper tags. Instead of a bell, these windchimes have a little crystal star in them. They're being called "Rising Star Chimes" and play June 3rd, the secret is out: These chimes are part of an advertising campaign.
The campaign is advertising a newly formed branch of a successful talent agency: They want to scout Fallen Stars for their upcoming activities. There will be auditions every day starting on June 9th and the open auditions will run until June 15th. The chimes are meant to bring good luck to the participants: Simply write the name of the Fallen Star who you want to support and surely the Kami of Love's magic will guide their passion into a successful audition! Chimes will be hung all around the city and Fallen Stars may see their names written on them. They'll also hear words of support from civilians, who seem to have gotten photos and recordings of the Fallen Stars displaying their talents... but as the Fallen Stars will realize, this proof comes from their home world and the past timeline.
In the run-up to audition time, Fallen Stars can do public performances in order to gain popularity and help sway the audition results. Shops and venues around the city will be eager to help them set up for live shows.

[Tap has all but given up on the idea of having a swimsuit. Getting clothes in general is so difficult- She can barely manage without Sam's help. Swimsuits? Swimsuits are even worse. It's not like she cares that much about swimming, anyway, and the looks and comments she'd probably get mean it's for the best that she can't get one anyway...
And then she finds out how easy it is now, with everyone's help. They're even kind enough to help her design one for herself- So of course, she picks one with a rabbit logo design. Because of course she does.
Now that she can, she's playing as much as she can in the pool, in her new swimsuit. She can't swim, but when you can defy gravity, does it matter? She's splashing about, zooming around, and having fun, and then when she tires herself out, she spends a while lazing about floating in an inner tube. She's having the time of her life.]

[You know what sucks about being a diet furry? All the fur. Fauna can't swim, and more importantly- It's hot. There's a time for being self-conscious about swimsuits, and she passed it ages ago.
Fauna can mostly be found at the pool, floating on some floatie or another in the water. Face-down. At least it seems like she's managing to keep her nose or mouth above water because she's not dead, but honestly? You'd be forgiven for mistaking her for a floating corpse.]

[Though she's spending her days dying of the heat, at night, Fauna is much more active. Under the cover of darkness, she sneaks around with practiced ease, finding every hanging windchime she can find, and smashing it.
If you're really interested, you might find her staking out the talent agency that seems responsible for the chimes. Around midnight, she's going to be trying to break in to find the storage and smash the chimes at the source.... unless someone stops her.]

[Isekai'ed. He's been isekai'ed. If it weren't for the circumstances of his birth, then Aqua would be quick to suspect that this was an elaborate prank... but it's a twisted kind of funny that this should happen. What's next? A harem? That sounds more inconvenient than being isekai'ed.
He's surprisingly calm about it. Aqua reads the atmosphere and recognizes that the people of this city are worried about him, so he responds by acting like he's more worried than he is. Whatever is going on, he needs to be logical about it. If this is a media prank, then he should freak out just enough to be compelling on TV. A blend of his sarcastic talkshow persona and an entertaining fool.
But if this is a prank, then the actors around him are very good. Not just that, but they've got a whole city decked out in pastel colours and gemstones. It gradually becomes apparent that this would be too expensive a set for a reality tv show, so Aqua pulls back on his entertaining panic.
Still. People can find Aqua in two states:
★ Acting slightly confused and concerned as he wanders the city, using his panicked act to get sympathy and answers from the locals.
☆ Acting more deadpan and disinterested as he drinks a free coffee and searches magazines for information.]
02 ☆ after june 3rd | pool day
[When Aqua learns of the auditions, he initially thinks that he'll pass them up... But the more than he's learned, the more curious he's become. Eventually, he decides that he should at least audition. The way that snippets of his past work are circulating in another world is strange. It seems like someone is baiting him to audition... and it would be rude not to take that bait, right?
But he's aware that he currently has little public presence in this world. The most he has going for him is his status as a Fallen Star and a few strange snippets of his past work. So Aqua organizes to have some nice swimsuits made. He alternates between two approaches over the next weekend:
On Friday, he covers up with a windbreaker and pretends to keep a low profile. Aqua puts on a subtle show of trying to stay covered and discreet, while making sure that people can recognize him from his photos and are curious enough to whisper about his good looks. He knows he has them, after all. He's Ai's son.
But on Saturday, after he's been photographed 'discreetly' and had his photo circulated on social media, he invites Kana to the pool with him. This time, he smiles more, covers up less, and is more friendly.
On Sunday, alone again, Aqua will focus on mingling with fellow Fallen Stars.]

Aira Shiratori | Ensemble Stars!!
[ One moment he was sitting on his bed in his ES dormroom, texting Hiiro about some stupid thing or another, and the next he was sitting on the curb of an unfamiliar street.
The pastel colors and shimmering atmosphere seemed like something out of his dreams, and he wondered, briefly, if he had nodded off and was lucid dreaming, but the sights, the sounds, the people staring at him like he's some kind of curiosity quickly begins to coil around his chest and squeeze.
Aira has never liked being alone in new places. It makes him feel vulnerable. And given he doesn't even have the foggiest notion of how he got here or how to get back, he holds his phone to his chest, the charms clattering as he quickly backed away from the strangers now approaching him.
They didn't seem hostile, but in Aira's panic addled mind, all he could think about is getting away. Getting home to where he was safe.
His breath came in wheezing gasps as he ducked to hide behind a building and let his shaky legs collapse under him.
What is he supposed to do now? ]

[ Contrary to what most might think, Aira isn't huge on showing a lot of skin. Oftentimes the most he'll end up showing off are his arms and legs, and maybe a little bit of his stomach depending on the cut of his shirt, like the one he wore for the sports' festival. Being completely shirtless, however, isn't something he's very comfortable with, so the swimsuit that was made for him was a pair of cute board shorts and a light, short-sleeved hoodie that he left partly zipped up as he sat on the side of the cascading pool with his feet in the water. He appears deep in thought, but he lowers a hand into the water to give the spirits swiming around him some attention. ]
Everyone acts like this is so okay and normal... I dunno what to do.
[ he's talking to the fish, he supposes. His voice is kept soft because he doesn't want to bring down the vibe, but his world is sort of crashing down around him. ]
♡ Love & Stars 》
[ It really is poetic that he would arrive in the month celebrating love. Love was his entire brand, from his card suit to his catchphrase, to his personal stage outfit! Decked out in hearts and presenting that love to others is what he's always done as a potential idol. It felt almost disrespectful now, and he's really not sure how to parse that in this case. He's not used to this place yet, so he's nowhere near knowledgeable enough to determine what might be considered rude or not.
Either way, he's somewhat excited to participate in these strange new festivities, shoving down his panic over his situation so he can bottle and manage it. He can be found in the flower garden looking deep in thought, a paper in hand as he observes the flowers around him. A lot of them already have papers twisted around them, so it's a matter of finding both a suitable one, and one that hasn't already been claimed. ]
Hmm... nope.
[ Not the right shade of red, he decides, getting up from where he was crouching to inspect the flower. He'll keep looking. ]

[An awkward girl in mismatched pink clothes suddenly startles and looks over at him.]
Oh, sorry! I kind of didn't see someone else is here. Are you a new Fallen Star or something?

[Velda hasn't been out doing much of anything, just running her training centre and keeping to herself. But when she goes up to the top level to go shopping, and the people start to gather and apologize and talk about how the Fallen Stars totally defeated Oyashiro-sama, she shrinks into herself and looks away.]
That's not how it happened...
[Before long, she just excuses herself and walks away quickly, trying to get anywhere she can hide. Which is why you might find her hiding in a cavity behind a shrine or on somebody's fire escape.]

[Velda does scrape together enough for a swimsuit, and she shows up at one of the pool parties -- not the first one, but later. She looks around in awkward awe and a smile grows on her face, and before long, she's climbing the waterfall to sit up on the wall.]
I forgot how cool the Star Pool is! Hey, do you think the meteor shower's gonna come again this year, or was that just part of the thing-we-don't-talk-about-in-public too? Because that was cool, or at least it was before the thing...

Yuuto Yumeno ✦ NPC
[Yuuto does really want to visit the pool with all of his friends, but he has two problems. For one, he's still keeping a low profile at his mother's request. And as for his second problem... Well, Yuuto's body doesn't heal normally. He knows that all of the scars on his body are uncomfortable to look at and a swimsuit would make that worse.
He does arrive one weekend with star-themed swim trunks, but Yuuto is also wearing a pink hoodie overtop. All attempts to avoid attracting attention are spoiled when he catches sight of the spirits in the pool. Yuuto not only gets in the water, but begins using his power to remove puddles worth from the pool and shape them into animals. Pretty soon he's got his hood down and is taking requests from the locals. He's having so much fun that he doesn't notice when a Fallen Star approaches.]

[Yuuto still spends a lot of time up near the Shrine of Love. He's checking out the gate full of locks, curiously trying to inspect them for magic. And then, because he's very stupid, he creates his own lock using metal pieces from around the house...
And stands against the gate with a metal pick. Carving two names into the lock for science.]
Hm. If this is like the windchimes then... S-P-E-C-K. Should I use Kanji for mine..?
03 ✦ Violin Performance
[Since he's decided to audition, Yuuto needs to get used to showing his face in public. He goes to the city center, where he has seen musicians play in the past, and unlocks his violin's case.
For an hour every day leading up to his audition, Yuuto can be found playing various songs on his violin. Often they're Christmas songs (which the civilians don't recognize,) but he's figured out a few original melodies as well. Whenever a session ends, Yuuto bows shyly and packs up fast.]
I need to scout a new location for tomorrow... I wonder if this is really okay?

[By chance, someone else's clip from another world plays on a public screen while Yuuto is passing them. He immediately recognizes them and reaches out to grab their arm, looking concerned. If this really is the set-up for a Rumor or kami experiment, then he needs to make sure that none of the civilians recognize them. That probably needs running right now.]

[ Taiga Aisaka does not swim. More specifically, Taiga Aisaka can not swim. Every attempt at learning was a failure, and she was tired of trying to learn.
But dangit, the pool was still a fun place to be! She can't let herself be deterred from enjoying herself just because she had the floating prowess of a rock. All she has to do is avoid any pool deeper than 4 feet, and make sure she had an inner tube just in case.
Taiga can be found enjoying various attractions, such as the lazy river, the shallow end of the wave pool, or... the kiddie pool. It's fine. She's very cute, which is what really matters here. ]

[ As much as she tries to pretend she's not one for superstitions or rituals, being in Starsand has made her a lot softer towards it; Taiga is even more sappy when it comes to flowers and romance.
