【CANIS MAJOR OPENING & SPEED FRIENDING】
On the 15th of May, Fallen Stars will receive a message through Starnet from Inaban:
- Today, at 1 PM, we will have the Canis Major opening! Please, feel free to come and tour the place. We will also be having a Speed Friending Event for those who would like to come!
Now, if you didn't hear already: Canis Major is a community center on the top level's city center as well as a group centered around Fallen Stars and helping them out in any way possible. This is meant to be a safe place for anyone to hang out at and utilize as needed. People can use Canis Major to help advertise their own businesses, utilize it as a space to teach other various skills, and hold meetings safely.
The community center itself will be generally open from 9 AM - 9 PM every day on a normal basis, although exceptions may be made for any emergencies.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
At 1 PM exactly, people can find themselves at the building's doors - in front of it is a bright blue ribbon, where Inaba stands with a large pair of scissors, speaking up-
- "Welcome to Canis Major's official opening! We have chosen the name Canis Major after the brightest constellation on Earth; as we are referred to as Fallen Stars, I thought that a community meant to foster the brightest people in Starsand would be fitting.
We hope that everyone gets the opportunity to use this place to relax and have fun, grow with new opportunities, learn, and work together to help make the world a better place."
...and with that being said, she cuts the ribbon, allowing everyone access to Canis Major!
Upon entering, Fallen Stars will find themselves at the main entrance lobby. Headed north, they'll find the information desk that has several computer tablets, which allow access to several things: a basic introductory guide to Starsand - this does not include information about the timeloop or the Facility - a map of both the city and this building itself, and a way to contact Inaba for any inquires. They will be told that they can input their contact information that will be saved; this can be used for both personal and business contacts, if they would like.
On their left, the will find a set of elevators that will take characters to any floor that they would like as well as a flight of emergency stairs in case of well - an emergency.
Upon entering the spacious elevator, they will find several buttons that lead to the various floors: basement, second floor, third floor, fourth floor, and rooftop.
The tour will take them through all the floors, starting with the lowest floor. All rooms in the building come with a small tablet panel on the wall that can be utilized for various purposes: ordering items for delivery, revisiting any of the information to the first floor, contacting anyone as needed, or hitting that emergency button in case something goes wrong, which will cause alarm sounds to ring throughout the center.
The basement is rather spacious; it is where most recreational activities take place. Down one of the halls, they will find where the community pool and jacuzzi are; this can be used for fun activities as well as teaching others how to swim. There are locker rooms with showers that are separated by gender and towels and basic swimsuits are provided to anyone who wishes to use them for use. The pool itself also has several diving boards at varying heights that can be utilized.
In another room in the basement, one can also find a stocked gym - supplies included - where characters can be allowed to play sports of any kind as needed.
There is also a computer lab here, where characters can sign up for their own personal cubicle to use. The cubicle rooms are rather small, similarly to how you'd expect from a computer cafe, but they're rather comfortable.
On the second floor, there are various rooms that can be utilized as classrooms for Fallen Stars to share their skills. Several rooms are labeled as soundproof as well. There are also specific cooking rooms that come with a fully stocked kitchen with all the basics necessary to cook.
The third floor is the meeting floor, which currently is set up for the speed friending event - more on that below! But there are whiteboards, chalkboards, a project and television set here normally; this room is meant to be a safe space for characters to speak about pertinent information without it getting leaked.
And the fourth floor consists of office rooms for those who wish to work here! The rooms here are small and meant for smaller private meetings and can also be used as a private workspace; the end of the hall also has Himeko's office with the nameplate of 'Inaba' that denotes that it's hers.
And now for the event that you've been waiting for: speed friending!
Once everyone is gathered in the meeting room, which for the occasion is decorated with bright blue balloons and streamers and even has a table full of food, Himeko speaks up:
- "Alright, everyone. Welcome to the speed friending event! Everyone will be given a number and you be seated appropriately according to that number. And for five minutes, you will talk with the person across of you on that table. Once you hear the timer, that's when those who have been given odd numbers will move to the next seat over. We will continue this for several rounds.
If you're stuck on a topic of conversation, cards have been provided on each table to keep things lively!
And just as a heads up: violence is not permitted, I can and will kick people out for that."
As stated, people will notice the cards that have several icebreaker questions- obviously, none of these are mandatory and are just a way to kick things off, but any of these can be used in play:

As she promised, Ryoko's here to check out... literally everything. To say she's impressed is an understatement: it actually does feel like a fully-fledged community center. Probably because it is, but that's besides the point.
Naturally, Ryoko's kinda floored by the cooking room. It's so well-stocked and tidy, and the prospect of learning more in this place seems really interesting to her?! Classrooms, meeting rooms...

Though, the way that his long belt-tail sways and twitches with his mood is probably a dead giveaway regarding who this dumbass is.

She doesn't have the energy for the actual event, but she follows along on the tour, eyes bright as she takes everything in floor by floor. At one point she stops in her tracks on the second floor, staring into one of the cooking rooms. One can almost see the gears in her head turning, but as the group moves on, she shakes that thought away and jogs a bit to catch up.]

So, she decides to distract herself by trying out one of the cooking rooms! Donning an apron, she looks at what's available... and decides on something she hadn't really made much of since she'd been in town.
Pulling the ingredients together and getting right to work on cooking rice and the like, she starts to put together some basic curry, being careful not to make it spicy. Her plan is to take it home with her.
