[Tau is not doing too well. She'll be spending a lot of time at the Shrine of Love or Shrine of Curiosity. When she's not there she'll usually be in a quiet corner of a park or cafe, or (if she's feeling brave) an arcade.]
[Rui is not doing well, but is trying hard to hide it. He'll be spending most of his time at his theater once it opens, which is basically never locked, please come in. Otherwise, he'll be hanging around parks or candy stores.]
[Rui has a theater now. His wonderful Wondershow Theater. It's as beautiful as he pictured it. He's walking around, making sure everything is perfect before he does any auditions or shows. Eventually he winds up sitting on the stage.]
It really is perfect. I could probably...never leave...
[Rui is nervous. He's never hosted auditions before. He's not sure anyone would come, even the girl who he had talked to at the start of the month, although he did message her personally to inform her of the auditions. He isn't sure anyone will last. Still, he has a pile of papers and a notebook and is sitting in one of the seats in the the otherwise empty theater. He's watching his robotic fish swim by.
And then, he hears someone come in. He stands and turns.]
Welcome to Wondershow Theater. Are you here to audition?
[ Kana arrived in the plainest clothes she could find; a black shirt and matching sweats. She didn't want to stand out too much amongst the crowd or be flashy - after all, in an audition in another world, anything could happen.
They could throw any sort of role at you, after all.
To be honest, she isn't used to auditions, even if she understands the concept of how they work; after all, they were simply a formality in the entertainment industry, after all. People were already chosen and cast ahead of time. It sucked, but that was show business.
But here, in Starsand, all of those rules were thrown completely out the window.
Kana straightens herself out before introducing herself again, properly. ]
Arima Kana. Eighteen. If there are any questions you'd like to ask, please, feel free.
[Rui is relieved that Kana showed up. At least he won't be waiting in an empty audition hall. He opens his notebook and scribbles down the information she gave him.]
Kana-kun, in our conversation a few days ago, you mentioned having some acting experience. Could you go into more detail about that? Like how long you've been acting and what kinds of roles you primarily take on.
I would also like to know your goals when it comes to acting and putting on shows.
That's right. I've been a professional actor ever since I was a child - I was well known enough that I even had a nickname: "the girl who could flick a crying switch"; I was talented when it came to crying to the point that it was a talent.
[ Of course, there's a lot about her acting history that she can't exactly talk about; much of it is much too personal for a professional audition like this one, and she'd rather not, anyway. ]
In terms of roles... I've played pretty much a whole gamut of them. When you wind up being a freelancer, you can't exactly get picky when it comes to work.
[ It's a rough world out there. ]
Well, to give examples, though - the last role I picked up before arriving in this world is an idol. The singing, dancing type.
As for my goals. I still want to learn more. To become a better actress and develop my skills even further--I've decided that I want to continue being an actress until the day I die. To put on the best show that the current Arima Kana can do at the present moment, and then look back on it and ask myself: how can I improve? How can I do this better?
[Kohaku is spending most of their time wandering around and playing pranks or conning people. Sometimes they'll stop at a cafe or something to enjoy sweets though.]
[ Kohaku is having a good old time. The natives may be suspicious of Fallen Stars, but that doesn't mean they aren't helpful. And Kohaku will help themself to some of their starling while they chat. They pocket the small coinpurse of starling that they stole and start to walk off.]
[Serial theft. Distrust of the Fallen Stars. Fauna has been doing her best to investigate this- She's a detective. Surely none of the Fallen Stars would do such a thing to ruin the trust people have in them while things are already fraught, right?
... When she investigates further, however, the people seem to be judgmental of her. Suspicious, even. Eventually, through eavesdropping, she finds out a lead-
A Fallen Star with fox ears seems to be behind it.
Now it's personal.
Fortunately, it doesn't take a lot to find the other foxy Fallen Star. After that, it's a matter of tailing them. And then, as soon as they try to pocket that stolen coinpurse...
Fauna lunges out of a side alley to grab Kohaku's wrist.]
[Kohaku stops in their tracks when they're grabbed. They turn to look at whoever grabded them, ready to give them trouble, when they spot the fox ears. They gasp excitedly, bouncing from foot to foot, tail swishing all the while.]
You're a fox too! You're like me too! Aaaah! It's been forever since I've met a fox! Hiya! What's your name?
[As much as Kohaku wanted to have pancakes with their friend, nothing was going to get them out from a dry place they found under a bench in a park. When it finally cleared up, however, they were quick to change out of their fox form, find Kagami, and drag him to a diner.]
We gotta eat up! We'll need our energy for all the fun we'll have now that no one knows us again, right?
[Unlike Kohaku, Kagami did not stay dry! But he's dry now, and after everything he's content to let Kohaku drag him wherever they want and make the decisions...he still owes them pancakes, after all.
He laughs at their enthusiasm. Despite everything that has happened, he finds himself in a good mood. Maybe he's stopped giving a shit.]
Mn, we can see who eats the most pancakes~ Do you have any ideas yet on how to trick our adorable humans?
[Break is mostly frequenting cafes and bakery for sweets, but he does have a routine of scouting the Top Level for any new info. Once Canis Major open's he'll be teaching sword fighting there.]
[Break is manuvering around his kitchen to get afternoon tea ready, when he hears the faint sound someone outside. He never gets visitors. He doesn't wait for them to ring the doorbell or knock before opening the door. He's not using Irime to see right now, so he still doesn't know who it is.]
[Elliot shouldn’t be surprised. Break has always had an uncanny awareness of everything going on around him, which is what Elliot thinks was one of the reasons he was the strongest in Pandora. That doesn’t stop him from pausing mid-knock and blinking at him stupidly.
He knows Break’s hearing is good and everything but he didn’t think it was that good.]
[Break steps aside to let him in. He didn't care much about the other, but was still a little pleased to have some human company. Especially someone that he's familiar with.]
What brings you here? Just come to join me for some afternoon tea?
[He doubts that, but it would be rude not to offer tea to his guest.]
[Sawyer is spending a lot of time trying to get materials they need for both living comfortably and also their idol work. They may end up passing out fliers or doing a couple street performances.]
[Sam is currently nervous about the Fallen Stars, but is less so than many of the other locals because of all the friendly interactions she's had. She's either going to be at school, at the mall, or at a park.]

Shouldn't I be happier then? How odd.

[They think for a minute.]
I mean...Our old stuff would work again, but we should probably come up with something new. I do have illusion and fire magic I could work with.
[Maybe they shouldn't use fire magic for tricks, but shoulds and shouldn't have never stopped them before!]
