Hiya! This is a completely open post for all the shenanigans my characters will be getting up to this month, outside of the mingle. If you wanted to do a thread with me and wasn't sure where to do so, hit me up here! If I can think of an open prompt I'll post it here, otherwise hit me up if you want something closed! Feel free to reach out through the Discord server, or PM perpendicular.

Under the cut are blurbs on who they are, and underneath are what they're going through at the moment. Fun stuff! If you have an idea, feel free to hit up their respective TL or ask me for a closed starter!

- Ryoko Asakura, Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan (CRAU)

Ryoko Asakura, as opposed to the OU version of her, is meant to be a normal girl who dotes over her friends and acts as a "mother" to her best friend. Constantly worrying, yet constantly teasing her in an attempt to bring her closer with her crush. She likes those friends and she likes oden, and she's very normal about both of them. On top of this, she's a CRAU from soulgemmed; a Puella Magi Madoka Magica based RP, so she's a magi herself. Her magic revolves around her Closed Space, faint spacial distortion, and a general need to keep those close to her safe. She can be scary, but is always well-meaning and always loving.

Also, she has a cute palmtop tiger girlfriend.

- Rinne Rokudo, Kyoukai no Rinne

Rinne Rokudo is a shinigami (kind of). A half-human half-shinigami, Rinne spent most of his time assisting spirits in passing on to the Circle of Reincarnation and eliminating the debt that his father put in his name. That debt pretty much drained his finances, so he's been poor for a long, long while. He can come across as cool and collected, but he's generally a huge dork, especially when receiving free things. He's able to communicate with the spirits in town, and able to offer infinite pancakes.

- Ryuunosuke Fujinami, Urusei Yatsura

At first glance, Ryuunosuke Fujinami comes across as a cool, aloof guy. Except, Ryuu is a girl. Raised as a boy by her overbearing father, Ryuunosuke is the next in line to inherit the Hama Tea Shop, having had to work there year round. Through her rough upbringing, she's learned how to brawl with her dad, all in an attempt to make her tough enough to run the shop. However, Ryuu's true goal is to be more feminine, to wear lipstick and eventually be able to buy and wear a bra. Something she feels she can't do until she finally defeats her father. She's... basically a walking pastiche of some martial arts movies from the 80s. She's "new in town", having been reset, but anyone who knew her can remember her.

- Karin Kitano, Original

Karin Kitano was the daughter of a yakuza family's head. Having followed his lead her entire life, she's got a rough exterior, hardened by the people around her yet sculpted by her father's kindness towards her. In her last year of high school, her family was hit by a rival clan, completely wiping them out. As she protected them as much as she could, while she was close to death, she heard a voice offering her a gift. Having taken it, she's become a wanderer. A magical girl frozen in time, she maintains that brutal mentality of protecting those close to her at any cost, and treats the town she protects as her territory. Vicious to others, kind to her followers.

- B.B. Hood, Darkstalkers

Baby Bonnie Hood is, on the surface, a sweet and innocent girl. Every much the spitting image of sweetness, her face hides a cruel and violent hunter underneath. B.B. is a Dark Hunter, tasked with killing monsters known as Darkstalkers either as protection or for the sake of research, all for the sake of profit. She's extremely greedy, quick to pick up a gun, and incredibly deceptive. Like Ryoko, Bonnie is a CRAU from soulgemmed, and is a magi as well. While she still occasionally tries to keep her innocent side up, she otherwise has aged a couple years. She still wears the hood and cape occasionally, but she's now less cruel and more jaded, having recently learned the truth about what being a magi means in terms of her humanity.

What the fuck was she doing?

Karin's just leaning against a wall in the shopping district, about where the trolley lets off. She prides herself on trying to stick to her word, and she was pretty damn passionate about making sure Fauna got to look cute after that story with her parents... so, she had to commit to it.

She might've also decided to dress up a bit. Maybe not those boots, but it seems pretty accurate.

She wonders if Fauna'll actually be wearing the owl suit. ]

[Is she really doing this?

But, well. Wouldn't do to keep someone waiting, right? So Fauna does make it over that way herself, on her motorcycle. Parking it by the roadside, she takes off her helmet, and... Well, she got dressed up too.]

... Hey.

[God, how does this work?]

[ Well, no owl suit. One of the rare times she sees her outside of her armor.

Karin gives her typical lazy wave. ]

Yo.

...that's not a bad outfit. Pretty good for someone who doesn't know about fashion.

Oh, uh... Thanks. I had some help picking it out, since..

[Bad at fashion. You know.]

Yeah. It's cool and all, but we ain't really here for cool. We're gonna go for cute today.

C'mon. Should be a good place t'start.

[ Keeping an eye out for a store, she leads the charge and... hums. ]

Tail's definitely bigger than I thought, but that shouldn't be an issue. A full on dress might be kinda pushin' it, but we might be able t'make somethin' work.

Yeah, I feel like "cute" and "flashing everyone with my tail" is going to be mutually exclusive...

[says the girl who rode here on a motorcycle in her skirt.]

... I don't know if it'll work, though.

--Sorry, did I say 'might'? I meant, we will make it work.

Aaaanyway, we can start small. Coordinatin' skirts and t-shirts isn't a bad place to start, and we might be able to find you a blouse to match.

[ Karin stops momentarily to get another good look at Fauna... hmmm. ]

The punk style kinda suits you. We can start there.

[ When Aimee sends out the message via Starnet, Ryoko had instantly decided on her plan. She sent a Starnet message to Rinne, and then decided that was that. She wasn't going. If anyone asked, she was too tired from the night before. Hopefully, they would only think that meant the previous picnic, and... not everything else.

So, there she was. The rest of the Fallen Stars were meeting about what they found out, and she was hiding. It was already too soon, and she was tired... tired enough that she's been in the kitchen in their home for some time, trying to figure out what to even make for dinner. ]

[preparade]

[ And Ryoko was still blatantly pretending that everything is peachy keen and the world didn't just end... It doesn't even begin to fool Taiga, but she's willing enough to play along if it helps Ryoko feel better. She honestly can't blame her for skipping the meeting, either; they were just at one, and it gets stressful dealing with so many people in one place.

Or maybe that was moreso Taiga.

Either way... ]

You don't... have to make anything?

[loveedition]

Huh?

[ That snaps Ryoko out of it completely, and she ponders Taiga's declaration as if she said something that never even occurred to her. ]

No, it's alright. I... well, I can't have you starve?

[ As if there were no other options, clearly. ]

[preparade]

I am capable of feeding myself, y'know.

[ A sigh. ]

Couldn't we just go somewhere, though? Or pick something up?

[loveedition]

[ ...she was really just planning on hiding out again today. But, all things considered... she'd spent most of the month in the house already.

Theoretically, as long as they stayed away from the cafe, it should be fine.

... ]

Yeah. Maybe we should go somewhere. The fresh air might help unfog my brain a little more. Maybe I need a change of pace.

[preparade]

Yeah, yeah! It'll be good for you. Then you don't need to worry about making anything.

What if we try someplace new?

That sounds perfect-- ah, I guess I do owe you wagyu, right?

[ For the most part through the month of May, Ryoko's been keeping quiet, yet busy. Perhaps proving the point that was presented to her, she tried to keep her head on straight as the stress built up and up and then, exploded. Manifesting itself in bad ways, leading to the last 72 hours being tumultuous, to say the least.

Well, she can't just spend all day moping around the house. Starting in the afternoon on the 13th, Ryoko is generally out and about again. She's basically:

-Grocery shopping! Gotta keep the little tiger at home fed.

-At the Shrine of Curiosity! She's reading up on lore and hoping that the knowledge she's providing helps. On Saturday specifically, she takes a moment to tell a story! Reiko-chan and Leona-chan battling against an assortment of creepy dolls! As always, changed to protect the innocent.

-At cafes! Because surprise, someone missed out on Maid Week. At least, most of it! She's still got two days to see someone in a maid or butler outfit.

-Sunday morning, she can be found trying a morning jog! Taking Sam's advice to get out and burn off some energy.

I had forgotten how difficult it is to generate Starling in dire circumstances.

[Kokoro sighs, contemplating a store-brand pack of frozen fish.]

Are you faring well, then?

[loveedition]

--is it? I don't really know how dire the circumstances are...

[ She's got some carrots, anyway? Her eyesight'll be great! ]

Mm. Well enough, I think.

[stavros]

Dire enough when everyone hates us. [She sighs.] But that aside... I do hope the plans going around will assist in changing their hearts in time.

[loveedition]

Mm. I heard a little bit about those... it could work, maybe? But it depends on how we treat them back. We can't overdo it with praise or trying to warm up to them, but... mm, I guess I don't know for sure.

[stavros]

Perhaps. I've been thinking about something that someone said, in all honesty... That this is a world free from our chains, for ill but also for good. Or rather, that if one wishes for something that could never happen under regular circumstances, that means not that it cannot still happen here. What do you think?

[ Ushio is an early riser and she also likes to exercise, so when she spots Ryoko on a morning jog-- ]

Oh-- hey!

[ Ryoko's pretty much trying to keep a decent pace going... she's not out of shape, but it's still a lot more than she's used to. ]

Good morning! You're out and about early too, huh?

'Course! There ain't no reason fer me ta be sleepin' in or anything, after all.

It's supposed to be the other way around, you know. No reason for you to wake up early.

[ She lightly chuckles, looking forward a bit. ]

Since we're both out, wanna run together for a bit?

But my Sunday mornin' anime. . . !

[ She's mostly joking. ]
