[So with everything that's been going on, between Kanade's new pact and her trying to help the Rescue Squad and her trying to figure out how to garden... well. She's been expending more energy than she has in a while. This means that, thankfully, she's been sleeping more; a mix of a lack of energy and soreness in muscles she hasn't used in far too long mean that, while Kanade's sleep schedule still isn't anywhere near close to normal, she's at least getting more than just a handful of hours of sleep every few days.

That is to say, she's only just now shuffling out of her room when Mafuyu returns home from certain flower misadventures. She mumbles a mostly incoherent hello as she makes her way to the kitchen, walking right by Mafuyu without any comment on her new rabbit ears-

- and after a solid five seconds, her brain finally processes what she saw, and she whips around, almost stumbling with the force of her hair swinging with her.]

Huh???

... Don't worry, Kanade. You aren't dreaming.

[ There's no "I'm home" or greeting or anything; just blandly stating the facts as the rabbit ears that match her hair seem to lean towards Kanade, as if curious. ]

[It's fine. The lack of greeting is fine. Kanade doesn't particularly care; it isn't that she's not about being polite when you should be, but... this is their home. It's just them. She's not gonna force Mafuyu to be polite in any way if she's fine just walking in without a word.

... Still, it's just. A little surprising, coming face to face with that right after waking up. Kanade knows that the spirits are in high - ... well, spirits lately, and she's been their victim already. But Mafuyu...

... it's so... cute...]

So they caught you too, huh... [She laughs, voice only slightly scratchy.] Are you okay? The ears aren't making any sounds unbearable, are they?

Mmhm.

[ That's in response to the first question. ]

That's good. Things got a little weird when I had cat ears the other day...

[It's okay if she just... reaches out to touch the tip of one of those ears, right...? Almost like she's brushing a stray strand of hair away from Mafuyu's face.]

... but at least these suit you.

[ She says the statement as more of a question, confused as to how, exactly, the bunny ears suited her. ]

Mmm. They match your hair. And it makes sense for someone with such a good ear for music to have the ears of an animal with sensitive hearing.

[There's more, but... it's hard to describe. It's just fitting.]

... And, um... [Ah. Kanade's ears are quickly turning red.] It's... cute, I suppose...

[ She says the words rather matter-of-factly without hesitation.

She's....not really sure what else to say to that. ]

Ryoko figures, an hour of learning how to use a computer, and an hour of teaching Inaba how to cook. That's the best possible way to handle this. There was a lot of learning to do!

As a result, here she is, knocking at Inaba's door. Dressed in her teacher outfit. Or, as an OL. Whichever one is worse. ]
