【DREAM SHARING EVENT PLOTTING】
Happy Holidays, Starsand! Thank you for putting up with the awkward event pacing these past few months! With January almost here, the Wish Maker event is on the horizon. However, due to schedule constraints among the player base, this event will be postponed until January 14th! In the meantime, here is a little warm-up event to keep characters busy and prep them for their upcoming suffering.
On the Eve of New Years (ICly,) characters will have a special “New Years Dream.” They will dream about a world where one of their deepest wishes has come true. But that’s not all! While they are enjoying their dream, other Fallen Stars will be able to wander in and observe. That’s right… It’s a dream walking event!
This is a plotting post. The event itself will go up on December 28th.

She hates injustice and wants the world to be a better place, but she's easily tricked and so has ended up as a villain. She's pulled out of that in Starsand, but she's really prone to speaking without thinking and ruining her CR.
CHARACTER ABILITIES: Can transform into a tokusatsu hero! As a result, she gains armor and is extremely powerful, along with the ability to change forms to respond to just about any situation. Her power is dependent on her willpower, though, so if she's not feeling it or is feeling conflict or doubt she gets much weaker.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Cheerful bunny girl! She's from a world that is merging with an MMO in what can best be described in the exact opposite of an isekai. She's full of love and cheer, mostly, but she's actually hiding a whole lot of problems- She's flighty and floaty to try to cope with severe agoraphobia, which means she starts to freak out if she feels trapped or unable to escape. She's managing in Starsand, but she's a lot more scared and nervous than she first appears.
CHARACTER ABILITIES: As an MMO character, she has a lot of abilities! Her primary ability is, essentially, aerial movement- several air jumps and air dashes and a glide. She can't truly fly, but that's not obvious with how much she can move around.
She can use fire and ice swords to do a lot of damage as a spike DPS, but she has cross-classed a bunch of abilities to buff others, so she functions best as a buffbot to make everyone else way cooler.

WHAT DOES YOUR CHARACTER WISH FOR? To be cured of her agoraphobia! In her dream, she'll be in a bizarre world- A shattered landscape over a sea of clouds, connected by bridges and chains and bubbles. Being a dream, a lot of the features will be blended with Earth features, but mostly, it's the landscape of her game. She will fly around, helping people, and being able to go anywhere she wants without fear.
Notably, in her dream, she will think the game's landscape is the real world rather than being a game.

NAME: Kaguya Shinomiya
CANON: Kaguya-sama: Love is War, or as it's called in Japan, with a title that I absolutely love that people don't actually know commonly: Kaguya-sama Wants To Make Him Confess: The Geniuses' War of Hearts and Minds Yeah. It's a long title.
CANON POINT: Post-manga.
AGE: 18; she'll be turning 19 on January 1st, so that'll be Fun.
GENDER/PRONOUNS: Female, she/her
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Kaguya is... well, a lot about her actually isn't relevant here but she's basically the rich heiress of one of the biggest conglomerate families that reside in Tokyo. She is a rather multi-faceted character (quite literally) having to don masks due to her upbringing. She tends to act like your stereotypical ojou-sama, rather proud and brilliant, but all she wants is to live a normal life as a normal girl. Something that she's been working on.
CHARACTER ABILITIES: She's a genius in a lot of ways, so she's actually multi-talented--she excels in theater, music, martial arts and a bunch of other subjects. She was also in the archery club at her school, so there's that as well. Other than that, she's rather mundane and doesn't have any supernatural abilities. Yet.

WHAT DOES YOUR CHARACTER WISH FOR? There's two things that Kaguya wishes for--given that she is rather new, however, both of these pertain to her world. The first is that she wants Miyuki Shirogane to propose to her. The second is that she wants to become a photographer. In terms of the latter, she doesn't want to become famous or anything, she just wants to achieve the goal of being competent enough at the skill and obtaining it as a proper job.
ARE THERE ANY RELATED TOPICS THAT YOU'D LIKE FOR YOUR CHARACTER TO EXPLORE FOR THIS EVENT? Given that Kaguya's whole ordeal is wanting to live normally, I'd actually like to have her explore any dreams that have a nature that are similar! I am also absolutely interested in the reverse as well--people with dreams of becoming famous or living a rich person's life, as Kaguya has knowledge of all of that and can probably share her insights.
ANY HARD NOS (OUTSIDE OF TRIGGERS) THAT'D YOU'D LIKE TO AVOID FOR THIS EVENT? I'd prefer to avoid any sort of scenarios that deal with dubcon/noncon, especially the concepts of harems for her at this time. Consensual poly-related stuff, on the other hand, is okay!

CANON POINT: During the final loop, but specifically, with spoilers, so highlight to read: Right before Ushio disappears in the final loop after gifting Shinpei the awakened eye.
AGE: Physically and mentally 18, although she's technically only a few months old.
GENDER/PRONOUNS: Female, she/her
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Ushio is a shadow--basically, what that means is that she's a copy of a girl that's dead right down to how she looks, acts, sounds, smells and even thinks like. You get the picture. And Ushio herself knows that she's an imitation and has had insecurities about it in the past. However, she's all but accepted it. She's also canonically half-French and half-Japanese, which is why she looks the way she does. Even in spite of this, she's a very energetic girl who is very much emotions over logic, putting the people she loves and cares about first.
CHARACTER ABILITIES: Being a shadow, she has a rather varied skillset. The first one is that her body as "Ushio" is made completely of data. As long as her main body, the flat shadow on the ground isn't hurt, she can regenerate as much as she wants. She also can use her hair as both a weapon and a shield and they are both very strong in that regard.
Ushio also can make copies of items that she has personally scanned and even use her hair to make copies of herself. If she uses too much of her hair, she'll become short haired. And if she uses too much of her power and is injured too much in regards to her shadow, she'll actually revert to a younger version of herself.
While not really applicable here, Ushio also has the - spoilers for Summertime Rendering, so highlight to read: Awakened Eye of Haine, meaning that she inherited what is basically a god's power. In the 'human world', this eye can be used to access spacetime; it's what grants Shinpei his ability to loop.

himeko inaba ♡ kokoro connect [scp crau]
NAME: Himeko Inaba
CANON: Kokoro Connect (SCP CRAU)
CANON POINT: After the events of Hito Random and post-SCP. She is, however, aware of her later canon point information.
AGE: 19
GENDER/PRONOUNS: Female, she/her
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Ice queen extraordinare. She's someone who acts crude and rough around the edges, distancing herself from others because she truly thinks that it's the best thing for her to do. She thinks that she's an awful person in spite of wanting to do good but is also extremely stressed out about pushing herself to her limits because she has to do good or else she's useless and worthless and she can't be that--except that's how she sees herself. As someone who is worth nothing unless she's actively doing something good. Another thing to note is that she's very self-aware of herself as an SCP-6350; this means that she knows she's not entirely human anymore and that she's also fictional. Talk to her about it!
CHARACTER ABILITIES:Mundane-wise, Inaba is rather skilled in technology. She's built computers by herself and can program things. She also knows self defense and can even disguise herself, too.
She also has SCP abilities - one being nullification of abilities through touch. This means that any supernatural abilities cannot touch her. This also includes things like telepathy or mind reading. There are a few caveats of course - that being 1) she has to touch it to nullfy it and 2) if the ability is mundane in nature, she can't do anything to it.
Her other main ability is that she can touch someone and cause them discomfort and nausea. She cannot use this in combination with her nullfication.
Oh, also: she has some Weird Soul Bullshit going on. She has a blue Undertale Heart (for integrity) with slight white (for monster) which When the Plot Requires It can turn red for Determination, which can like, change the world and shit like that but only when plot requires it. She has no control over that in particular.

WHAT DOES YOUR CHARACTER WISH FOR? In short: "to change the world". The long version of this is that she wants to change this world so that spirits and kami don't have to rely on faith to exist, that Rumors and Distortions don't have to be things that happen to them, that people are allowed to be free to live their lives the way they want, without any fear or judgement or having to hide themselves from the world. Her dreamscape is one of isolation - one where everyone besides her is allowed to be happy. It's going to be a deep dive into her dark psyche, so if anybody is interested in seeing that, I'd absolutely welcome it for both new and old CR.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Yor is a kind older woman who sometimes is a little strange and a little awkward when it comes to navigating people, as her life has been. Well. She's an assassin. But that's a secret. Don't worry about that part. Or, you know, do - given that the assassin part will be coming up for this event.
CHARACTER ABILITIES: She's an assassin so combat is her main skill, but she's especially good with bladed objects and self-defense. She's also ridiculously good at cleaning. She also has ridiculous gorilla strength and can jump really high.

WHAT DOES YOUR CHARACTER WISH FOR? To continue to keep her family life while maintaining her job as an assassin. This will be a once in a lifetime chance to actually see both sides of Yor and have her go do some assassination work (I'll be making up some sort of "fake Starsand underground assassination group") given that it's not something that really shows up at all in Starsand. This dreamscape will have actual murders happen as an option--meaning that people will be able to potentially see her kill people. Of course, these 'people' are going to be ~dream versions~ of Facility members based on what she knows about them. But given that her wish also deals with keeping her family life, there will be SOL things as well to interact with, I promise.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Hanyuu is a kami who's spent many years being alone and unseen--only able to watch as events passed her by. She sacrificed herself for the sake of humans, but soon enough, humans began to see her as something to be feared, someone who would curse others when she is far from that. She's awkward and shy at times, but has a caring heart. Also a mom who is willing to call people out on their shit.
CHARACTER ABILITIES: In terms of the mundane, she knows how to cook, clean and sew. She is also rather skilled in fighting, having been an assassin in the past. She primarily can use a sword, but has also used her claws in the past.
Hanyuu can summon objects related to Oyashiro-sama and also create objects under her name with weird abilities.
She also has a sensor to find spiritual things through her ahoge.
Hanyuu can also freeze time for short bursts and grant wishes to those who pray to her for it. As the Kami of Sin in this world, she also gains power from sins and can purify them as well.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Someone who acts like a "good girl" in front of everyone until they find out that it's all just a mask. Underneath that is a girl who doesn't know who she is and what she really wants... but she's trying.
CHARACTER ABILITIES: She's rather skilled at many things and picks up on things quickly when it comes to academics, sports, arts, etcetera. She's known for being a skilled archer, composer and lyricist. She's also just a very goddamn good liar. And given that she plans on becoming a doctor due to her mother's wishes, she's been learning a lot about how to take care of others when they're injured and sick. Mafuyu also has a spirit pact that helps her with healing as well.

WHAT DOES YOUR CHARACTER WISH FOR? Mafuyu has two wishes: the first being to 'find the real her', something that will be heavily explored in her dreamscape, and the second being 'to be able to stay with Niigo'. Welcome to my character study of Mafuyu Asahina, everyone. The dreamscape itself is going to be a whole stage--like something you'd see in a play, with Mafuyu herself constantly changing masks/roles in order to find something that fits but struggling to do so. As a heads up, there's going to be a lot of fairytale allusions here, particularly to the stories of Snow White and Rapunzel and a huge slapping warning of mental/emotional child abuse.

Rika is bright for her age and acts maturely, even when gently bullying her friends.
Under the surface, Rika is a child whose psyche has been damaged by a long and traumatizing timeloop. She is trying to shed her old ways, but it is certainly a process.
CHARACTER ABILITIES: She’s good at games and cheating.

WHAT DOES YOUR CHARACTER WISH FOR? Rika’s dream world is of her and her best friend, Satoko, traveling the world together. However, Rika has never actually left Hinamizawa. The places in her dreamscape will look like photographs, some even being black and white, and the atmosphere will be like a scrapbook. There will be fantastical sights that she’s read in novels and in poetry. Overall, it will quickly become apparent that Rika has never been to these places and that they are out of reach to her.

Rika dreams of leaving Hinamizawa, but she isn’t sure if this would be “allowed.” She is the miko to the local deity and knows that abandoning her post would look bad. Having people see this dream of hers will frighten her, since she isn’t ready to voice it to anyone just yet.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: He’s a super useless vampire! On the surface, Eliot is a scatterbrain. He’s cheerful and optimistic, booksmart where it counts, but seems to lack life experiences.
His split personality, on the other hand, is grouchy, pessimistic, and very tired. Eliot holds 300+ years of pristine memories, which he wipes in order to maintain his sanity. This creates the illusion of a split personality, depending on how much access he has to his memory.
CHARACTER ABILITIES: Eliot’s bloodline is technically quite powerful, but a disdain for the Durant family and poor diet prevent him from accessing his full potential. Durante are immortal and have psychic abilities. In Eliot’s case, however, his power is weak and useless. Even if he suddenly had access to all of his power, he hasn’t trained to use them safely.

WHAT DOES YOUR CHARACTER WISH FOR? Eliot is a two-parter!
The clueless ‘human’ Eliot has no wish or dreams. His dreamscape is empty. There is a static buzzing, but he cannot discern what it means.
The tired ‘vampire’ Eliot has the opposite problem: There are many dreams trying to play at once, sometimes contradicting each other. He’s lived many lifetimes and they are all competing. A theme seems to be living a mundane life with the people he loves, but the faces and voices of those people are constantly switching. Even the town is constantly changing.
ARE THERE ANY RELATED TOPICS THAT YOU'D LIKE FOR YOUR CHARACTER TO EXPLORE FOR THIS EVENT? Meet the other Eliot! This is a rare chance to see how many lifetimes he has lived and to see how full and happy they could have been. Or you could see how empty his ‘human’ persona is.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: First impressions lean towards Yuuto being a friendly, cheerful, and loving person, who wants to help everyone and anyone around him. Stick around too long and you’ll realize that he has a disregard for his own well-being and lots of self hatred. He’s very good at covering this with a smile and polite demeanor, often playing the part of “okay” until even he believes that it is true.
CHARACTER ABILITIES: As the spacetime kami, Yuuto can control… space and time! This means things like teleporting, floating, applying pressure, changing temperatures, and generally manipulating his surroundings. Yuuto’s power relies a lot on math.

WHAT DOES YOUR CHARACTER WISH FOR? Yuuto’s dream will be an unfortunate Distorted space: Dark Rumor goo drips from the sky and forms a lake under the feet of anyone unfortunate enough to visit. There is a white door standing without any building attached to it. It’s covered in prismatic chains. Yuuto is purposefully denying the wish that got him turned into a Distortion.
Yuuto can be found standing at this door and quietly staring. The only light source is the door and anyone who is visiting. Underfoot, ripples spread and show glimpses of the past year’s worth of memories.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: I'm getting over being sick so I apologize if everything I write is incoherent and all over the place-- Elliot can come off as stern and intimidating at first. He feels a lot strongly and takes honor very seriously but he isn't blindly loyal and can be discerning. Despite his noble upbringing he can be very loud, violent and forthright with his opinions. He basically just wants to do the right thing but he's kind of disillusioned because spoilers. And a bit of a tsundere. Has a soft spot for cats.

But Inaba's words about it not being too late really got through to him so he refuses the accept any losses here if he can stop it. But he also feels powerless because he doesn't have any extraordinary talents or abilities. So maybe something to do with that. I'll probably have him enter other people's dreams too so if this is a theme you're interested in exploring he's available for support.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: A depressed shut-in with an abysmal sense of self-worth who may initially come off as stoic due to how muted her expressions often are. Nevertheless, she's a pretty friendly girl with an ocean-deep sense of compassion and kindness. Endlessly encouraging to her friends, Kanade is a steady support for those she cares about... at the cost of her own health and wellbeing - both physically and emotionally.
CHARACTER ABILITIES: Kanade is a gifted composer, to the point where her work was recognized by popular advertising companies when she was still in middle school and her current music circle is decently popular online. That is... literally the only thing she has going for her. Due to the whole not going outside thing, Kanade is pretty frail of health and strength, and finds things even as simple as wringing a wet towel out to be a difficult task, so she has no useful skills outside of music.

WHAT DOES YOUR CHARACTER WISH FOR? "To write a song that can save Mafuyu" and the more general "to write songs that can save others". They're nice dreams in theory, but for Kanade, who doesn't have any goals or dreams for herself beyond that...
Because of this, her dreamscape is pretty bare - the main part of it is just her room. The floor, walls, and ceiling are completely papered over in sheet music, even the window and door are covered. Though Kanade herself is the only person inside of the room, the voices of others can be heard echoing throughout; voices praising Niigo's songs, talking about how much the music meant to them and how this song or that song helped them out of a really rough time in their life. The voices blend together, like the hum of a crowd in a busy area, but one can be heard louder and clearer above the others - Mafuyu's. It's neither the empty voice that a select few have heard from her, nor the fake "Good Girl" voice that many others know. She sounds... content. Calm. The dream Mafuyu's voice speaks of being at peace, she speaks of wanting to find her own dreams, now that she's found herself. But as she speaks, her voice gets... softer. Like she's walking away, as Kanade is left behind in the dim and dusty room.
The door, though covered with sheet music, can be opened. But going through that will only lead a visitor through a maze of hallways that eventually lead right back to Kanade's room.
ARE THERE ANY RELATED TOPICS THAT YOU'D LIKE FOR YOUR CHARACTER TO EXPLORE FOR THIS EVENT? Kanade really needs to be slapped in the face with the fact that as much as she's fine with neglecting all aspects of herself in her pursuit of helping others, her savior complex is just as damaging to the people who care about her, who worry for her well-being. She's at a point where she knows she's stagnating compared to her friends, but she's so focused on helping others that she hasn't been working on herself.

WHAT DOES YOUR CHARACTER WISH FOR? Pidonus would, under normal circumstances, have made a wish that would help the city. She's trying to do good and not give in to the temptation of her abilities and nature as a Succubus.
Unfortunately, in her dream, her darker wishes seem to be what's showing up instead. Here, she is famous, on a pedestal of a stage with hordes of fangirls. Getting to her could be difficult... Let alone pointing out the specific kind of alone this leaves her, or that it may not reflect her real desires as a performer.

CHARACTER ABILITIES: She can't summon her Ride Viper here since it's kind of in storage, but she's got a stupid amount of weapons that deal holy damage, a couple bloodline abilities along the same lines, and can breathe in space because Platonic Power is a handwave for everything. As all hammerspace/inventory powers were nerfed to nothing this past summer, she can't infinitely regenerate projectiles anymore and has to ration her holy water because there's no easy way to get more.

WHAT DOES YOUR CHARACTER WISH FOR? The most important thing is just to get un-isekaied. Well, to get everyone un-isekaied, but she's already been confronted and guilt-tripped a few times by people who are dead or miserable in their own worlds about how that's not what's best for everybody.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Gus is a very sheltered, very unique little boy. In that he is part deer (as evidenced with the antlers he is growing, his ears), born as a hybrid. He's very sheltered because, being a hybrid, puts a huge target on him and puts him in danger of being caught and experimented on, essentially. As people try to figure out why hybrids were being born and how to cure the Sick, a virus illness that came about around the same time the hybrids were being born at first. Gus has lived in one of the national parks with his Pubba/father figure and only recently after his father got sick and passed, has actually left that safety in search of his mother.
He's very curious and talkative, has a notorious sweet tooth (hence the name of the show/series) and is constantly asking questions and learning new things, new experiences. There's a lot of things he might only have heard of and not experienced for himself, living off the grid and so sheltered as he was raised.
CHARACTER ABILITIES: As Big Man puts it 'weird deer shit'. This is to say. Gus can do the deer eyes in the dark/can see and smell really, really well. He's fast as heck too. He is independent enough that he lasted a while on his own back home, but is still a ten year old boy.
