Hello!!!
I know that there's a lot that's going on, but I have something important to ask!
How do you choose a gift for someone? I've been trying to figure out on what to get but I don't know what would be appropriate!
[ Please help. She desperately needs it. ]

Take their interests into consideration. Do they have any hobbies or show a mild interest in anything around them? Perhaps there's something they need that they aren't aware of? You essentially have unlimited options.

I don't really delve too deeply into their personal life, so I don't really know what kind of things he might be interested in. I know he's played tennis, but I don't know if he'd want a tennis set as a gift... it feels really inadequate to just get him something like that.
I want to get him something that really shows my appreciation, especially when he's done so much for me, but my biggest issue has been finding something that really means that much.
I can't cook or sew, so those options are off the table, too... and I don't want to accidentally choose something weird for him, either.

I think he'd be happy with whatever you get him, as long as there's meaning behind it.

In fact, if you wind up not getting him anything at all, I'm sure he will still be content with that.

but otherwise just think about what they like to do! somethin like a really good book, or nice clothes, or if they're always complaining about their wallet falling apart, a new wallet! that kinda stuff

Well, it's actually for my husband... Ah! But please don't think of me as a bad wife! I just don't know what's normal to get for him. We've only been married for a short time, after all. And he's so skilled in many things that it's difficult.

[ She in fact, has no clue if it's normal or not. Her parents had always cared more about the monetary value of a gift than the quality. ]
you could get him something sappy! write him a poem! if its your first christmas together, i bet something sentimental will mean a lot.

I've never written a poem before, though... do you think he'd like whatever I wrote him? Should I look at some poems for inspiration??? Do you think they have good ones in the library?
no subject
if he doesn't like a poem written by his wife, he'd be a bad husband... but it never hurts to get some inspiration, especially if you don't know where to start. my friend's been to the library a lot and i'm preeeetty sure its got a lot of books
(not here)
He doesn't know if Yor's a good writer or not, but for the sake of the mission??? ]

I don't know.
He's very serious with his work a lot of the time. But he's also good at a lot of things, too.

It's not like that!
It's just
Amusement parks are usually not places you'd go to a date when you're an adult, right? That's more something that you would take your kid with!
Not that I wouldn't bring Anya there... but she isn't here right now!!
