【open catch-all log for september】

This post will be considered a catch-all log for the rest of the month of September for any of Len's characters.

The list comprises of Hanyuu, Inaba, Yor, Mafuyu, "Adam", and ???

Specific prompts are under the cut, but feel free to either ask for a closed prompt or even respond to this post asking to get RNG'd by a character!





Hanyuu:

[ Hanyuu can generally be found at her own shrine, dubbed by the locals as the Shrine of Sin. For first time visitors, people will notice that compared to some of the other shrines in the city, this one looks more akin to some of the more staple Japanese shrines, at a large scale. People might also hear about her being the Kami of Sin as well.

When she's at the shrine proper, she makes sure to wear more proper clothes to make her stand out amongst the miko that work there.

On occasion, people might see Hanyuu grocery shopping, making sure that she's stocked on ingredients for the next couple of weeks. ]

Inaba:

[ For a whole week, Inaba holes herself in her house. People can make the attempt to contact her, whether it be through Starnet or knocking on her door. Whether she answers however, is a completely different question.

After that week, Inaba knows she can't hole in, but... she's nervous.

So she decides to use something that she's had on her ever since arrival that she thought she'd never have to touch again.

She dons on a mask that makes her look like a robot to the physical eye. Might as well hide as someone else for the time being, because she sure as hell doesn't want to deal with Being Inaba Himeko Right Now.

Feel free to run into this mysterious (?) robot. ]

Yor:

[ Yor can be found at the gym as an instructor. She's also willing to do any one on one training battles if people would like to do those. ]

Mafuyu:

[ For those that are of age and interested, Mafuyu's opted to actually enroll and attend the high school so she can be found there, for the most part. She'll be attending clubs and classes, acting up the 'good girl' charade.

Outside of that, she can also be found at the theme park aquarium every now and again, staring into the glass absentmindedly. ]

"Adam":

[ As someone who's new, Adam finds themselves wandering all over the place, but finds themselves most interested in the Spacetime Shrine and the library in particular.

If found in the library, they can be seen looking for books.

But they might also be wanting to look for the local kami, too... ]

???

[ This one's a wildcard, as this young girl can be found exploring the streets on both the upper levels and the lower levels.

There are also times when she decides to put on a street performance -- nothing special, but having bubbles appear in the air like it's nothing. And she's even trying to get something out of it. Specifically, Starling tips. Go give her Starling while she dances. ]

[ Loid's there at the end of the day. He's taken to waiting for Yor outside of the gym, at the very least letting her know that he'd be there so he doesn't take her completely by surprise.

He's got an idea, having thought something over since the party. It's the least he can do since she's been working so hard, meeting others, and taking on working normally. It's what he wants for her, in the end.

So he waits, standing near the entrance. Hope today wasn't too rough, Yor...! ]

I wasn't keeping you waiting, was I?

[ She eventually shows up with a bright smile. While she's a bit out of breath from it all, Yor doesn't seem to be looking any worse for wear. ]

[fauxther]

Not at all. You're right on time, actually.

[ She doesn't. Which, might make things a little trickier, but that's fine. ]

Come on, let's head home. I have a surprise for you.

[mothornly]

A surprise? You didn't have to, you know.

[ If Ryuu's going to stay here long, she figured she might as well make the most of things. Which basically meant picking up toiletries and a few snacks. She had a strong, very strong urge to check out clothing stores, but she wasn't sure if that shitty old man was hiding right behind a corner. Ready to pounce and cause a huge-ass scene, leading to a brawl.

In this case, as Ryuunosuke rounded a corner, it wasn't her dad at all but-- a robot?

Pardon her while she stares a bit. Wait, that actually was a robot. There were a ton of weird spirits and stuff like that around, but she can't remember actually seeing a real live robot before...!

Unless? ]

A wind-up toy?

[ Maybe? ]

[dereban]

[ That's not a familiar face, so it makes Inaba untense a little, even if that can't exactly be seen much through the robot body. ]

I'm definitely not a wind-up toy.

[sarashi]

Whoa!

[ The sudden voice threw her off! For real?? ]

W-wait, you're real?! [ what. ] I mean, you're an actual robot? You ain't got a drawstring or anythin' like that?

[dereban]

As real as I possibly can be.

[ For now, anyway. She's just relieved that there aren't more people who can see her soul proper. ]

I'll even turn around if you want.

Sorry, Inaba

[Yuuto has Cheater Eyes. Living between the spirit and human realm, he can see souls as easily as he sees the strings of Spacetime. Which is to say, his world is beyond human comprehension. Though he usually doesn't focus on souls, he had been alerted to something strange by the local spirits: There was a shrine (they thought) with a 'normal' soul attached to it. Worse yet, some of the spirits recognized it as someone they liked. Inaba's robot illusion conflicted with what the spirits expected a spirit soul to look like.

He was worried at first, treating the spirits' concerns with genuine respect. They led him to the 'shrine' that had them so worked up and, after getting a look... Yuuto giggled.]

Ah, I see. It's okay, everyone. Your friend is safe. [The worried spirit on his shoulder presses against his cheek and he returns the gesture;] Thank you for worrying. Tell everyone else not to worry, okay?

[Once the spirit has flown away, he returns his attention to 'Inaba.' Wanting to be polite, he drops to his knees so that he can hold eye contact without hurting her neck; He's not sure where her eyes are, but doesn't want to draw attention to that either.]

Sorry, sorry. The spirits were worried that you were in trouble... I'll get out of your way. Have a nice walk, 'kay?

[dereban]

... Ooooi. You can't just say that and leave, cheater.

[ She frowns a bit. As much that can be visibly seen through this form. ]

[spacialeyes]

[He puts his hands on his cheeks, smiling back at her robot's face.]

Oh, you talk. [He tilts his head,] The spirits were worried about you, that's all. They thought your soul got put into a robot. You have a lot of secret fans, you know.

[dereban]

Oh, what, did you want me to communicate in a different language then? I can do that.

[It's actually uncommon for Shugo to leave the library. If he isn't there, then he's at the the Shrine of Love with Satou and the kids. Rarely does he explore the city and put up with the way that the civilians 'worship' him. Free gifts, praise, books and stationary... It's a nice gesture, but Shugo doesn't like it.

So he's already in a foul mood when he notices 'Inabot' on the street. Shugo sighs, flaring his gold cape behind him as he walks to the robot. Robots aren't common in Starsand. When they do exist, they are usually spirits in shrines. His eyes flash gold as he reads if the soul is familiar--

Then he drops his coffee cup.]

What the hell?! I knew you were in a shit headspace but really?!

[dereban]

Is it really that surprising.

[ She doesn't bother shifting her voice when he says those words, just speaking in a blunt voice. ]

[cureiously]

Do you want my answer to that?

Geez... [There's so much to unpack here. Like how he was already pretty worried about her, already wondering how their relationship would change, concerned about how Inaba was handling everyone's reactions...

He huffs in annoyance.]

You that scared?

[dereban]

I retain the right to not say anything.

[ She says those words rather bluntly.

But yes, of course she's scared. She's always terrified. She's such a coward. ]

Hanyuu

Ha~nyuu-chan!

[Satou is doing a shrine visit, which is rare in itself. She doesn't get to leave her own shrine as much anymore: Between being overly protected and busy, there is no chance to. It takes a lot of careful planning for her to find a chance to slip out in a disguise. Wearing her hair in twintails and wearing a black lolita-style dress, Satou sneaks off to Hanyuu's shrine for a visit.

She's grinning deviously when she calls out.]

Sorry to stop by unannounced! You busy?

[aupologizes]

Hm?

[ She definitely sounds a bit surprised but she tries to make sure not to slip up before speaking. ]

I'm not busy at all. Um, did you need me for something?

[ai_nnihilate]

Mm-mm!

[Satou seems to skip over, enjoying every second in her recreation clothes-- Even if, to Satou, that's a frilly dress and girly accessories.]

I needed a check-in! And maybe to make an offering while I'm here?

[ Unfortunately, no one is unable to escape the sudden "fix-it" attitude that Ryoko Asakura has adopted. Especially at the moment, considering she's been trying to think of how to approach what she's doing. After all, she's had time to relax, had time to push things out of her head a bit, and now it's time to keep on with Operation "Befriend Inaba".

...She didn't actually come up with a name for it.

Anyway! Knock knock, Inaba! Ryoko's here with lunch. ]

Inaba-san, are you in? I brought something with me-- [ Wait. ] Direct from Ryoko's Delivery Service! Made by Asakura-san herself.

[dereban]

[ Inaba will at least open up the door, and while her eyes are red and there's bags under her eyes, she tries her best to smile through it all. ]

Feel free to come in. What did you bring, anyway?

[ She'll ignore the fact that the whole 'delivery service' schtick kind of stings, but that's not her fault. She probably doesn't know. ]

[ A momentary pause as she forces herself to ignore it. If Inaba wants to bring it up, she can. Right now, she's forcibly holding back the dial on "mother mode".

She takes the invitation and steps in! ]

I wasn't sure what kind of stuff you liked, so I played it safe and brought oden. Oden's good all the time, you know. It's really versatile like that!

[ Rosaline had kept herself busy throughout the month, observing Autumn Fest from a safe distance and cheering on others who happened to clean. All roles she was meant to fall into, right?

Otherwise, she decided to figure out more about the world, more about spirits and what those entail. So, what better place than the library?

And what better place for a chance encounter, as she reaches for a book, at the same time a young man (?) reaches... ]

[ Rosa's hand recoils, and she takes one step back, bowing her head towards them. ]

Goodness me, you go ahead. I didn't mean to startle you.
