Hey, everyone! I was thinking about it the other day, but Spirit Day is coming up at the end of this month. Given what we know by now, I wanted to really make sure that we make it special for the spirits this year. I know for part of the month we'll have to continue helping out the outside world, but we can't neglect what's inside too, you know? I figured something: Christmas doesn't really exist here, and while I do still plan to celebrate that in December, there's no reason we can't make Spirit Day as important for both the spirits and the people of Starsand City. So I wanted to get a start on planning for the festival and seeing what we could come up with! Just remember, we're doing this without relying on their magic. They're supposed to be taking it easy this month. Speaking of... let's do our best to get to know more of them this month as well. My house is getting pretty full already, but I'm always looking to make new friends with the spirits around town. Treat them well, okay? I think that's everything. Asakura-san, over and out.

[On video is a pop can spirit skittering back and forth on the beach. Ástron, Kokoro's little star-shaped spirit, hovers past it, and as the can looks up curiously, the star makes a leg of fried chicken appear on the beach. The can crab make a happy noise and bends its aluminum to sort of lift up the chicken and carry it off.

Kokoro lifts the phone, turns it to show herself on the video, and sighs.]

I must say while I am grateful we have yet to actually need the combat assistance I came for... I am at a loss as to how to assist the litter spirits. They do seem happy with the attention, though...

By Saturday the 9th, the Fallen Stars at Starlake have solved the first challenge of their mission. By telling stories to the Lake Monster, they can distract them long enough for others to safely boat across the lake. The spirits of the lake seem to be enthralled by the tales of love and comedy, flocking to those who tell those stories in particular.

The spirits of the lake also seem to be in a unique type of trouble. They take the forms of reanimated garbage. Plastic bags float through the oily water like jellyfish, metal cans are skittering across the lake floor like crabs, and other pieces of trash have glowing fins to swim around with. At night, this enchanted trash glows faintly under the water's surface in a show of haunting and distressing beauty.

It is safe to swim in the water while stories are being told. The spirits do not try to drown people or capsize boats when they are being entertained. And if swimming isn't your style, there are some old canoes that can be paddled across the lake instead. At the other end is cliff, with a natural cave carved into its face by the elements. This cave hosts the next challenge for the Fallen Stars.

[Shortly after Shugo's announcement, Samantha Fletcher is at the Starlake Campsite. If there's a plan for how to help someone, then she won't waste even a second to enact it. The first step, she knows, being to set up for the long haul. This won't be easy, but it'll be a more smooth operation with the right foundation.

Starting Wednesday, Starlake's campsite is up and operational. There's a week's worth of cooking ingredients in magically maintained coolers, the six cabins are freshened for use, and Sam has cleared some space for tents to be pitched. She's pretty tired, since right now she's relying mostly on her magic to maintain fairylights around the camp and keep the coolers chilled.

Until Sunday, Samantha will be here to help anyone staying at the campsite... But in general, this is meant to be a mingle for hijinks and IC problem solving. I'll put up a few mingle toplevels to help, but feel free to make your own!]

Pardon me. I suppose this may seem a stupid question to ask.

But what is "Starsand City?" Where am I?

[Despite what may have seemed like a newbie's first message, Eliot has actually been in Starsand City for almost a year now. But he has a problem: He occasionally wipes his memory for his sanity's sake. And he has accidentally done so, wiping all* memory of his stay in Starsand City.

The result is a disorientating experience where he blinks and is suddenly in a foreign land. He's wearing local fashion and has a few Starling pieces on hand, and has recently collect an armful of books concerning the Lake Monster Rumor. But he has no idea how he got here or why he has them.

He stands in the middle of the street, completely clueless and dazed, until he almost gets hit by a trolley. He dodges the trolley but drops his books. After it's passed, he scurries over to collect the books from the ground.]

OH! Dear dear dear... What kind of technology is that? When exactly is this? [He begins checking the front covers of the books for copyright dates,] I wonder how old I am...

I. Day 1

[Rui is a bit surprised at how not overgrown the village is. Its definitely not pristine, but there's a lot less work than he was initially thinking when he decided to take some time away. He hopes that farming will help him figure out his next steps as far as plays and his theater is concerned.

He stretches, and explores the town a bit before going deciding which house and field he should take over.]

Yes, I think this place will be an interesting change of pace.

II. Farm Life

[Rui spends a lot of time clearing out a small plot of land for him to start farming in. He probably doesn't need more right now. Its hard work, but that's no problem for him. He's used to working hard with acting and his machines. Though, doing so, outside, in the middle of summer, has left him exhausted by mid afternoon.]

Maybe its about time for a break. Although, I can't wait to see the little sprouts popping up.

III. Sing a Song

"The world hasn't even started yet~"

[Today Rui is singing to the crops he's growing. Although maybe he should continue brainstorming a play to them today too. He didn't bring his notepad though, and if he gets an idea, he'll want to write it down. He pushes himself up off the ground, and brushes off his pants.]

Good afternoon, everyone. ☆ How are you all doing? I myself have been busy with training as an idol. I requested this weekend off for a very important reason.

I would like to suggest that we have a group picnic at 'Star Lake!' The little Conductor tells me that it is three hours away by train and used to be a lovely camping spot. I think that if we can clean it up and make it more welcoming, it would help a lot with the icky nasty Rumors about the outside world.

Would anyone care to accompany me? I am prepared to cook and clean the cabins myself, but I am unable to fight. It would be dangerous if I went alone. Plus, I think the spirits may appreciate some rowdy and fun company! I will even host games and punishments. ☆

[1. train]

[Train time! Even if Kokoro missed out on this last time around, things are different enough that she's absolutely heading out. She'll spend some of the time wandering the train, looking in on rooms with open doors and checking out any of the communal cars.]

Was it like this last time? I don't recall anybody saying so...

[Or you can just find her in her own room, door left open as she sits with a few bags and a plush heart that Ástron is currently bouncing up and down on like a kid would jump on the bed. Her attention seems glued to that Switch that Ushio gave her...]

[2. Star Lake]

[Kokoro heads first to the campsite. Pitching a tent can't be that hard, can it? Well... it looks like she's having a little trouble setting the tent up, with pegs and supports coming loose and Ástron hovering around her, using its mood-calming power to keep her blood pressure down. Even then, Kokoro grumbles and takes deep breaths before trying again.]

How do people do this constantly?

[Once that's finally done, though, you can catch her at a hiking trail clearing weeds and debris, while spirits start to wander in after her. She smiles and waves if you approach.]

If the spirits here love the trappings of camping and wilderness retreats, then surely keeping those areas in good repair will help them, do you not think?

[And later, she'll walk to the lake, whip in hand, and stare down at the water.]

Hiiii! It’s the Mirror Spirit! Oops, I mean it’s Kagami-kun! ٩(๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵๑)۶ I’ve missed talking to all my friends here! But I was so worn out by the play’s sparkling success. (˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥⋆) I hope everyone enjoyed it, we worked so hard!

I got on the Miracle Train on a whim and found it certainly lives up to its name. Only eight hours away is a magical castle~! Isn’t that neat?! I like it so much I’ve decided it’s mine now.

I’m super excited about my new home. I can’t wait to share it with all my friends.

Hello, Starsand!

Today, I'm here to advertise a future game release that will be dropping finally on the 18th of this month: Sky/Connect.

Now, you might be wondering: what kind of game is Sky/Connect? It's a visual novel that has a focus on action and romance. We've been working on it for quite some time, but we're not ready to release it into the world!

And as for the general FAQ regarding the game!

1) Is the game voiced?
It is not! However, if people like this one and would like a voiced version, we're absolutely willing to have that as a future upgrade! (If anybody is willing to help with voice acting too, both for this and future projects let me know.)

2) What's a visual novel?
Basically, a visual novel is like a book with images and sound. Our title has sprites of the entire cast and even special event CGs when you reach certain parts of the novel! And this is a visual novel that has choices at certain points! Basically, you'll get to be able to choose what the protagonist does at certain points and even choose which route you want to go to! However, be careful on which choices you make, because you can get a bad end.

3) How many routes are there?
Four! One solo route, two character routes, and the poly route. There are several bad endings, one true ending per route and one good ending per route.

4) Are there any pre-order bonuses?
You think I have that kind of money right now? Seriously though, if you pre-order, you can get your copy signed personally by me.

5) Anything else I should know?
As a bit of a surprise, there is actually an opening theme song sung by yours truly called Heart Nebula!

6) I have another question!
Go ahead and ask. Just don't be an asshole. And before anyone else asks: yes, visual novels are games, you can fight me about it.
